Description
goldy
All that glitters is Gold
Im in a Race!
Please log me and move me.
So i can win the race and travel the most km and visit great places.
- Avoid rehiding a GeGnome far from active geocachers territory as it basically exits the gnome from the race
- When rehiding a GeGnome get good co-ordinates. Seriously. Don't dump and run. Get co-ords as you would a permanent GeGnome.
- When making your log against a GeGnome include a good hint so the finder can identify whether it's been moved, muggled or just a bad GPS day.
- This is a challenge of moving GeGnomes along, not trying to make them impossible to find, so help you fellow players out by making the task enjoyable
- Please avoid hiding movable caches near existing Groundspeak or Geocaching Australia geocaches. At Groundspeak geocaches they go missing as rubbish or taken as trades. At Geocaching Australia geocaches the other geocache ends up travelling as well which it's not supposed to. So please find a location away from any existing geocaches (except of course other movable geocaches) to keep the GeGnomes in play for as long as possible.
- Do not leave GeGnomes at the site of the Chrome Gnome along Melbourne’s Peninsula Link freeway. VicRoads frequently attend and destroy gnomes which are left at this location.
If you have stumbled across me by accident please contact me at [email protected]

With the country going into lockdown & meat / chicken / rice & dunny paper in short supply I figured it was time to go for a caching run & drop of some movables & complete some caches, needed to clear my head as job insecurity is of real concern & I had enough of the bullshit – so cache on – a nice short detour from highway – 2 off in this hidey hole S34 49.867 E148 18.322 to S34 49.868 E148 18.322
Found in the hands of HansJJ – nice to meet you – great to find so many movables - thanks

Moved closer to the action, don't bother looking, this is not there just yet and in any case will be gone!
A virtual move as is heading to cooler climes tomorrow, don't look here.
Cache has now been found and handed off to another local cacher who will move it on shortly...
As usual, GCA moveables left at a GC Mega can sit around for a while...look at the number of trackables still listed at any Mega.
Any moveables still listed at the Queanbeyan Mega are currently being rounded up and will be moved on as soon as possible.

Spotted on the table at the Mega Event.
My trip to the Mega was great, found lab caches which while like gadgets are new icons to me. Found some great caches and brought back some neat ideas for new caches in Tasmania.

So many moveables in one location at the Clear Waters Mega event in Queanbeyan. I'm not sure whether I have seen some of these before, but GCA says no, so I'd better find them officially now. TFTC & safe travels.

Goldy took a short trip north to near Shepparton after Meet The Mobiles. H jumped out near a Dutch style windmill.
Moved this cache along and it's now ready to be found. Thanks for attending the Meet the Moveable event and hope your travels are safe and far.
Headed down to Melbourne for the Meet the Moveables event at Brimbank Park, where this moveable, along with about 120 other were found. A good turn out at the event and everyone seem to have a lot fun talking about all things caching while finding the moveables and getting a start on the Journey or Destination summer game. A good couple of hours were spent in the area before witching hour rolled around and it was time to head back up the highway towards home. T'was an uneventful trip and with the number of moveable on offer, was certainly worth the drive.
Thanks for the moveable.....

A quick pickup of moveables today for a secret meeting to take place in just a little while. Your geocache would ike to join the secret activities so it may not move for a little while but it will be safe and sound and will be moved along (and hopefully logged quite a bit) in the not too distance future.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for this geocache here today.

Time for a muster of some of the (older) moveables in Canberra. This one is now in my hands and heading off to Melbourne to find a new home and hopefully found a few more times.
I went to grab a few movables today and moved them to a spot near a highway to help them move along. This is a massive collection. Good parking on Old Tuggeranong Road. But the GPS reception is poor but the hint should help.

Noticed a horde of moveables had landed near home so headed off to grab this one before it headed off.
A quick grab here this afternoon.
Thanks for the cache Fernweh*
Hurried out in the inclement weather to grab some of these before they disappeared.
After a week it was long overdue time to get this collection of twelve movables out for others to find. The weather has turned so it was a bit ore of a challenge to get outside, but I manged to find a spot not too far from home. Happy Hunting.
Thanks

Out and about with a mate for a tour of Canberra.....
#GA2545 - 14:25; After driving down to Melbourne to bring the geostudent and her friend back for uni, Sol de lune flew in to join me for a days caching and the return journey to Canberra. Our plan was to make finds in as many of the dragonZones in which we were yet to make a find as we could. Today the plan was to head south to Kingston, then on to Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula before heading back north to Monash and a few other zones before wrapping up the day in Stonnington. After completing our southern run, we were now back in the city at Forest Hill Reserve. DNFd another moveable nearby and I wasn't having much luck with this one either. Sdl checked an area where I had already looked and came up with the goods. Not sure how I missed him TFTC Fernweh*

In the area grabbing a few caches with LuckyL10n and after a little searching on hands and knees, the neat little gnome was in hand.
Have taken him to Canberra where he should be released again in a few days once we're home.
Thanks Fernweh*......always like finding the older moveables. Love the colour too....

Back today to drop a gnome off for other Victorians to claim points for the holiday scavenger hunt. Not too far from the new cache here. Good luck and happy travels little gnome.
This little chap was sighted at my first event, this week, when he decided to join in the fun with a lovely group of geocachers at the Victoria - States of the Nation Event at Victoria Park. He was a little shy at first, but was made welcome by all the attendees, just as I was. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of him, hopefully, if I see him again, we will know each other a little better, and we will have a photo taken together then.

This was at the event, I tried to get it from original coordinates but geojas beat me to it by minutes, at least that saved me the trouble of lugging along.
