Description
GeoGnome
This Gnome Trackable is part of the GCA Race between December 1, 2015 until January 31, 2016.
Please help to fulfil its duty by helping to moving it along, sign the log book and log online.
Please move it along ASAP, Race on!
The rules of the "Moving Cache BINGO Game" are published on the Caching Games site, a ladder and also a map are available.
Logging this cache is easy:
First Step: | Log your find with a 'Found it' log (this will give you your smiley!) | |
Second Step: |
When you have moved the cache to a new location (minimum of 1km away), log a 'Moved' log, adding the new co-ordinates and a hint. |
So go for it – this transport theamed cache is out there waiting for you.
Logs
This geocache appears to be MIA so to stop it clogging the search lists we'll archive this one. If the owner can confirm it is in place the listing can be resurrected by placing an "unarchived" log against it.
Did not find.....because it's actually with someone? I hope so because the posted co-ords are currently just big construction site and there is no way the moveable would have survived being there. Was hoping to make the grab so I could take it (much) further south, but alas.
Think the cache needs to be placed somewhere or simply archived.
Think the cache needs to be placed somewhere or simply archived.
If this cache is ready to be found, it should be relocated for the next finder/s. If the cache needs archiving, please place a NA log.
If the cache sits for a period of time unfound, well, this is just the nature of a moveable cache. It's the CO decision what will happen to the cache, however Geocaching Australia will need to archive the cache in 28 days to avoid it showing up on cachers search list / PQ's.

Before Mr Clippy came to us, he had been in a bit of an accident and lost his gnomey hat. One of his new finders gave him a fetching new cap (see picture) but under that mop is basically broken ceramic. That cap will not last long in the elements. For the last 15 months he has been indoors and safe.
The other thing to consider that with the exception of the 15/16 Gnome season South East Queensland is a GCA desert, with basically only two of us 'playing' with the Summer Scavenger Series. I note that very few, if any, of the gnomes still in SEQ at the end of January 2016 have moved. My fear is that to hide Mr Clippy in the public is to condemn him to oblivion.
After the race, I contacted the cache owner with a proposal for a new hide - in a garden, behind a chain wire fence (basically a school garden plot) but with a note to be added that if someone was coming to hunt for him I would relocate him to a nearby public spot where he could be collected easily and safely. But I didn't get any feedback whether this was acceptable.
Hoping that this note prompts a response. Anyway, Mr Clippy wants to know if he stays or becomes a new garden mascot for a bunch of kids.

Dear owner,
Just thought I would check in.
I'm having a lovely time staying with Petan and hanging out with GnoGrin and Samboo the TB. Mrs Petan has been very busy at work, working many extra long hours. She comes home very tired. Today I helped Mr Petan make some chocolate chip muffins so Mrs Petan would have a lovely treat when she got home.
Mrs Petan wondered if you got her message about my new hiding spot. I think it sounds lovely.
Love,
Mr Clippy

Mr Clippy with his rather fetching new cap is with me. He enjoyed his short jaunt into NSW and after getting a good look at some of the surf at Kingscliff elected to stay on the Gold Coast so that he might get to spend some time relaxing at the beach. Perhaps I shall have to find him a lifesavers cap.
Seriously, at the end of the summer caching games, the movement of moveables tends to slow down. I'll find a more secure spot for him in the next week where he can wait until someone eventually comes past to move him further afield. Actually I have the perfect spot for him, provided I can get permission for this particular spot. I hope this is ok by you the gnome-owner.
Thanks for letting me play with your gnome.

Behind a tree opp entrance gate. Look for Eliza King's headstone. Behind the tree just over fence.

We received notification last night that the Gnome teleport zone in the Cascade Gardens was active again but it was too wet to head up to see who had arrived. Today between some some showers we arrived on site to the portal to be greeted by a somewhat exhausted Mr Clippy.
"You're here, finally! Wow what a storm we had last night, look at all the downed branches around the park. I've spent the morning chopping some of the bigger branches into smaller bits to help the Council parks and gardens staff and now I am exhausted!"
We offered him a lift and a place to stay tonight. He's wearily stretched out on the lounge watching TV. He also wondered how his friend QueSera faired in the storm. He hoped she wasn't camping at Cabarita Beach.

Just noted my friend gnogrin is still in ruinning for moves greater than 1 less 10. Interesting. Just putting it out there that if mum finds gnogrin there are some quite crazy gnome movers not far away that could help achieve this prize.
Near Albion train station Under bridge with Gnogrin
Poor Mr Clippy has had an accident and his hat has sadly broken. After some much needed surgery he has been put back together and is recovering on the banks of the Kedron Brook with Gnogrin. Ready to travel again.
Had alot of trouble finding a muggle free area to hid. Muggles everywhere and i am so paranoid after losing Gerry and Snow Gnome. I am with Gnogrin under small leaves under a big leaf plant next to big tree. will put photo of place cause is tricky
Undee big tree leaves touching ground . Next nudgee golf course fence with gnogrin
Found earlier but only just logged now. In transit for the next move. Sorruy Steelwool for not logging earlier
Followed coords to someones house. Scoured park and did not find any of the 4 gnomes
Rated: for Overall Experience
END ON GRANTSON STREET BEHIND ROAD END SIGN. with gegnarly and ggnome
Not far from Albion train station .under bridge
so sorry that you missed out on meeting Mr Clippy, Petan. I am very tempted to go find the gnome you left in place. Mr Clippy is so cute and i see he has hooked up with ggnome. Was trying to get my hands on Flappy but see he is all the way up north now and gnogrin is still the happiest of them all. I feel bad that Gerry and Snow Genome have gone missing as i was the last to hide them. Only one week to go.
To quote Maxwell Smart ...."missed it by that much!".
Had planned to come up to Brisbane to 'swap' gnomes yesterday but a 24 hour bug changed those plans. Arrived at Daisy Hill and we are "looking looking looking" to quote Con the Fruiterer. Forced an update of the cache information and discovered it had been found in between my overnight pocket query and seeking it at 5pm this afternoon.
Another Con quote ' doesn't matter!'. I go back to work tomorrow which will severely curtail my 'gnoming' efforts anyway. In any case GeGnarly (http://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga8009) is now hiding in the spot vacated by Mr Clippy. I'll just have to live voraciously through the logs of the 'Brissy Gnome Hunters' as I have done all summer! Thanks guys, shall have to meet up with you sometime!

Just behind viginia primary school with gnogrin and gnomeminer
Sorry this one took so long to update. It was in transit, but is now enjoying the weather in the sunshine state.
After having Christmas lunch with us, it's time for clippy to continue his travels
Dropped Mr Clippy off in my gnormal location. Travel well my little gnomish friend.
Rescued this guy @ 18:40 on the way home from work. A quick find after a DNF on another gnome along my (slightly deviated) route.
I think one of my GeoGnome Brothers has been here before I feel his presence. Ready to go again.
placed not too far from where she was conceived..
My first gnome that I kidnapped!!
Now Clippy is resting in a bush. He needs to be found!

Live, travel, enjoy little gnome.
Co-ords may be a little wonky due to tree cover, so look at the hint to spot this one. He's large enough to have no problems.

CLIP CLIP CLIP! Nice easy find as this gnome was just pruning back some of the grasses in this area. It will be moved along soon.
This looks just like my old gninja gnome, but less black. A gnice easy find and will move along shortly.
Not one to be beaten by a wrong bus (should have turned left at Albuquerque!)
New home has been found.
New home has been found.
Clippy dropped off in a gnome exchange on a quick lunchtime walk.
Good luck little gnome.
Good luck little gnome.
Last of the quartet picked to this morning. I'm off to grab a few more "on my way" to work.
Thanks spladem and good luck for the race.
