Description

GeGnome Away from GeGnome is a solitary guy.  He likes to catch up with other Gnomes from time to time, but often prefers his own company while he is on the road.  Please feel free to pick him up and give him a lift to see as much of this wide brown land as you can.

GeGnome Away from GeGnome is also an entrant in the GeGnome ][ Electric Boogaloo race and would love some help to move around the countryside.

Rules of the game

  • Your GeGnome must be a genuine, bone fide garden gnome. It may be store bought or hand crafted.

  • Caches for the competition must be published on 1 December 2015 Australian Eastern Daylight Time (Geocaching Australia Time).

  • Geocaching Australia has the facility to automatically publish your GeGnome on 1 December 2015. Check the wiki for how to achieve this.

  • The game administrators decision is final.

  • You may find and move your own GeGnome during the game period.

  • Caches must be found and hidden by the same geocacher (i.e. no mailing the GeGnome to another geocacher to hide).

  • There is no limit to the number of times a geocacher can find / move the GeGnome provided there are at least two other finds / moves in between.

  • If a geocacher moves your GeGnome overseas and it remains unfound overseas for 1 week or more, the GeGnome mover may move your GeGnome back to the country of origin without breaking the "2 moves" rule.

  • There is no limit to the distance other geocachers can move the GeGnome.

Being the 2nd last day at my work place before I’m transferred to another place & only coming this way if I need to – I figured this was the time to retrieve the last 2 moveables in this area on the way to work. A short walk to a nicely hidden GeGnome - I MUST thank rogerw3 for very accurate co-ordinate’s & a good hint – made the hunt a lot easier otherwise it was going to be a tough hunt, as the location is well used Anxious – was able to walk in retrieve & walk out without too much fuss Wink . Will be moving a further distance away. Clan Griffin

Found today with Roger, left with him to relocate . I knew something was afoot when he changed our usual lunch date from Penrith to Lidcombe! We did make it to lunch in Parramatta a bit later.

Just picked up a handful of hitchhikers and was about to pick up this one when I was muggled. Who would expect this part of the cemetery to be so popular?! Sad

Another one wedged in tightly and refusing to budge. But I promised him a visit with mates and reluctantly he came home with me.

This solitary guy wanted to be alone so farewelled the rest of the gang and hopped off the bus in Blackheath.

Picked up from the Normo bunker on a stinking hot afternoon along with another. Look for him elsewhere soon.

No chance yesterday to move this one, the thunderstorms the day before had meant lots of faults to deal with and a 13 hour day at work. Today I managed to finish a bit earlier so took the opportunity to swing past Normanhurst and drop this one in the usual spot where I know he will move on.

16-Dec-15
Today I had to drive the car in for a job at the nearby hospital, and as I was running a bit early I stopped and grabbed this one. I knew where it would be as it was a swap for one I had left here the previous week. Safely in the car and I will take him further north to where there is a bit more gnome action.
