Description

I keep coming across public phones in the Blue Mountains! It's a curse, but I'm committed to the series. Either that or a SHOULD be committed! This one is at  Katoomba Falls Kiosk. The title of this cache comes from the the song by the band City Boy. One of the rare bands where the drummer is the lead singer. Other examples of this is The Eagles, The Romantics and Queen (when Roger Taylor sings live).

I found it today after logging a nearby regular geocache. While I was looking at the description the regular cache named this one and I couldn't help myself but go check it out.
Signed log, cache in good condition.

We were walking the Prince Henry Cliff Walk for some new GC stuff, this cache kept appearing on the GPS. We had almost forgotten about it, when we were about to push on after a quick rest, noted it was 30m away.... the kids descended on it, and Samuel came up trumps.... TFTC!

#GA2955 - 17:55; The original plan was to head west to collect a few zones for Sol de lune and I to complete the caching centroid mission, but with the announcement of big bonus points, the plan was changed and we are headed to the Blue Mountains instead. We decided to start on the caches originally planned for the return journey tomorrow as we were well ahead of the time we allowed for caching today. After arriving in Katoomba and checking in to the motel, we dropped by so I could collect this cache as we headed off to grab tea. Nice to clear another one in this series off the 'to do' list. I drove MrT to Katoomba for SES training as he still has his finger in a splint and can't drive. i thought since it was early evening, and not dark, it would be a good opportunity to hopefully find a couple of caches. After dnf-ing a GC one I thought I would head on to this. Nobody around meant I could park across the road and wander over. I found a cache but not the orange I was expecting from the current hint lol. Signed the log and returned as found. TFTC

If I keep picking off a phone box cache each time I'm in the mountains, I might be finished by the the time I retire! Just means that there's always something to come back for. Will also have to come back to investigate the walking tracks that start from here. Thanks for brining us here Alnic39.

My only physical cache for the hole day! And only because we parked for our walk only 50 meters away. Cache was in the first place I checked!

A quick find with pjmpjm today, too bad I did not look in the right spot on Saturday or we might have had an early find!
A very busy place but a fake phone call made it all possible.
Thanks for the cache.

You wouldn't believe it, but rogerw3 and I were at my nearby GC, doing cache maintenance, two days ago, and I made the joke that 'you better check the phone booth before we leave in case Al has left one there.' rogerw3 did in fact make a cursory search, but didn't check today's hiding place. So we wonder if we came close to finding this one before publication!

Anyhow, quick find this afternoon despite sweaty tourists sitting very near GZ. It helps to pick up the receive while you search! Took the cache some distance away for the actual log signing.

All in good order. 2TF. TNLNSL.

Many thanks to alnic39 for another local hide!
