Description
Gnoel wanted to enter the GeGnome game earlier, but when DD visits the reject establishment in early December she declared him too pricey! However, now it is January, Gnoel's Noel work is done, the reject establishment has rejected Gnoel (so he was feeling a little dejected) and Gnoel has escaped outside to play with the other GeGnomes. He is attired fort eh summery weather and ready to party!
Rules of the game
- Your GeGnome must be a genuine, bone fide garden gnome. It may be store bought or hand crafted.
- Caches for the competition must be published on 1 December 2015 Australian Eastern Daylight Time (Geocaching Australia Time).
- Geocaching Australia has the facility to automatically publish your GeGnome on 1 December 2015. Check the wiki for how to achieve this.
- The game administrators decision is final.
- You may find and move your own GeGnome during the game period.
- Caches must be found and hidden by the same geocacher (i.e. no mailing the GeGnome to another geocacher to hide).
- There is no limit to the number of times a geocacher can find / move the GeGnome provided there are at least two other finds / moves in between.
- If a geocacher moves your GeGnome overseas and it remains unfound overseas for 1 week or more, the GeGnome mover may move your GeGnome back to the country of origin without breaking the "2 moves" rule.
- There is no limit to the distance other geocachers can move the GeGnome

I discovered this moveable cache at the GCA event in Rutherglen on the 7/4/23. Another Geocacher has taken it from GZ and will move it along shortly.
The Rutherglen Mega – Easter 2023
This was another a-MAZE-ing Mega, hosted by Geocaching Victoria. Thanks so much, for bringing me here and for the enjoyment it has brought me over the weekend.
Day #1 [6/4] – After a massive day of work, I headed off to my overnight stop in Culcairn. Along the way, I stopped off at an AL waypoint, in Henty. My only find of the day. Now time for some sleep and get ready for arriving at the Mega tomorrow.
Day #2 [7/4] – Its Mega day! I started off the day by finding a cache across the road of my motel in Culcairn, before getting breakfast. After breakfast I headed out of town and I arrived at the Rutherglen showgrounds at 9am. I was pleased to check in and sign the attendance book. I caught up with many people and I also found the lab caches. During the gaps of the Mega fun and during the non-raining times, I headed out to find as many caches as I could. I found the letterbox caches, attended the 3 events [2 GC and 1 GA] and found a couple of caches around the area. While at the GA event many moveable caches were discovered and signed. After the dinner event at the end of the day, I went did some bush bashing in the dark of the night to find a 2006 cache. I made sure I found it, as it fulfils part of a self-imposed challenge. Now, time to head to the motel and head to bed, so I’m ready for my last day tomorrow.
Day #3 [8/4] – My final day. Anyway, I still have much planned which included finding the bike trail caches, finishing the Solar System series and finding a couple of multi-caches. Also, on the way home, I decided on avenging a DNF. But before that, I started the day with breakfast at Macca’s. Next I found a couple more labs, some of which I missed yesterday. After a phone call, my bike riding buddy (Joelisa) was running late. This meant I could find the rest of the Solar System Series and a couple of others. I arrived at the starting point of the bike trail and was greeted by Ms Maddy who was getting ready for the bike ride. While we were getting ready If and Joelisa arrived and we decided on heading off and doing it together. The caches along the bike trail were signed as **8/4/23 JIMM**. The group consisted of Joelisa [J], If [I], Ms Maddy [M] and Myself - JohnoMawbs [M for Mawbs]. We did most of the trail along the way to Wahgunyah, found a couple of other caches, had lunch and for the return trip, found the five we missed for the return trip to Rutherglen. Then we went our separate ways. I headed off to meet up with The Drovers before leaving. I found two caches along the way home. The second of the two, I avenged a DNF. Now time to get home as I have a very busy day tomorrow.
I will need to return at some point, so I can complete the ‘bird’ mystery cache power trail at some point. Also all the new multi-caches which have just been published. So, these caches have been put on my, to do list. In other words, I’LL BE BACK.
TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found this weekend and for allowing them to bring me and the Geocaching community enjoyment. TFTE’s and TFTC’s

Well, it seems he has come out of hibernation and is heading off on a journey for summer!
Well not sure why this was archived.
It has been in my hand for far too long I suppose.
No one contacted me though.
I have passed this on to a fellow cacher.
Sure they will place it again soon.
Will PM the cache owner.

Almost 6 months since last sighted or moved so we'll archive it to stop cachers looking for something that is not in location.
If the cache does reappear, the CO can re-instate it.

Headed down to Melbourne for the Meet the Moveables event at Brimbank Park, where this moveable, along with about 120 other were found. A good turn out at the event and everyone seem to have a lot fun talking about all things caching while finding the moveables and getting a start on the Journey or Destination summer game. A good couple of hours were spent in the area before witching hour rolled around and it was time to head back up the highway towards home. T'was an uneventful trip and with the number of moveable on offer, was certainly worth the drive.

#GA2864 - 10:10; After a few days in and around Hobart, the time had come to head north for Launceston. Noticed this gnome hiding out when we returned from the Tasman Peninsula yesterday, so dropped by today to collect him. Parked across the road from GZ and was surprised by traffic as I was hunting around. Made the find and Reject Gnoel is now headed for the big island to the north and a tour of the National Capital. It has been good having our Gnome, Gnoel, visit us, but after all his travels he is very much footloose and fancy free and decided that spending all his time in one abode was not his thing, so he has moved on - currently camping out near some friends.
Reject saw Flip at the event, jumped up and down with joy and wanted to come home with us for a few nights. He has enjoyed his time back at the place from which he was first released, but has the wanderlust and doe not think he will stay for long. In company with some other moveables he will soon be hitting the wilds again, hoping for more adventures.
Found it on the table at the event. Took a number, left it there.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
There was a commotion at the door and we found fifteen moveables looking for a bed for the night. Not sure they will think it was a luxurious resort after fighting for space in a couple of boxes on the couch that they had to share with the another guest, our son's dog! After a busy night for the host the fifteen moveables were provided with a luxurious breakfast (apart from the instant coffee). Now Reject Gnoel is ready to hit the road again. Thanks DDTs for the fun moveable.
Sorry about the lengthy logs. We are currently aiming for a dragon zone virtual verbosity trophy. We have just received the 100 word trophy, so now aiming for the 150 word trophy. For all new GCA cachers, a warning, write a decent log to start with in case you want to get these virtual trophies down the track. Having now passed 2000 GCA finds with a lot of one word logs (on many moveables) makes for a lot of typing now!
We are participating in the States of the Nation games which are currently running from 16 December 2017 until 21 January 2018 and we will try and use this find against one of the scavenges.
States of the Nation is a real and virtual geocaching scavenger hunt where your home state will compete against other Australian states to find and hide geocaches. Over the 5 week course of the game there will be hundreds of scavenges that you can track down, find and convert into points for your state. Some scavenges will be easy. Some scavenges will be tough. Some scavenges may be impossible. Don't despair. You are not competing just for yourself; you are competing as a state.
There will be a number of scavenges released on a weekly basis but each scavenge will remain until the end of the game. This means even if you decide to join the game part way through, the early scavenges are still available for you to claim. Scavenges will require you to find a geocache, hide a geocache, attend an event or do something else completely different. The game focuses on all aspects of geocaching and so all cache types, sizes, terrain and difficulty will be up for scavenging. TrigPoints, Events, History, Virtual, Webcam, Podcache and Locationless geocaches are all scavengable, so you're not just looking for a box under a bush. Each week there will be a mix of physical, non-physical and locationless geocaches so even if you are not in a geocache rich area, use the locationless component of scavenger series to get out, find something to log and gain points for your state. If you watch the scavenges as they are released you might also spot the 'not so hidden' patterns and plan for future weeks of the series.
Hiding geocaches will also be a large part of the scavenger series, but please remember this is a game of geocaching and geocaches that you hide should be long lasting, be of good quality and you should be proud of what you hide. Please avoid hiding a geocache just for the day so your state can find it before you archive it. Geocaches that exist for a short period of time may result in any claims on that geocache being disqualified. Play creatively, but also play fairly. More geocachers hiding more geocaches makes for more geocaching fun.

A beautiful day for caching so set out to rehide some moveable caches we brought home from the south of the state last weekend. The north west of the state doesn't get a lot of GA caching traffic but if we put enough of them out here we're hoping someone will come through to grab the lot and find our other caches as well
A quick find on a beautiful holiday morning in the Hobart area. Taking the opportunity to grab a few caches before heading back home to the north west coast. We'll find a spot closer to home to put this one out again. TFTC
Hello DDTs thanks for the cache.
I was caching on the Eastern Shore waiting for things to happen and got out to Midway Point and noticed your cache on the GPS. It wasn't until I climbed down the bank and found it that I realised I had already found it in another location. At first I didn't know whether to leave it there and not log a find or move it on after reading the last log and noticing it had been there for four months I thought I take it with me and move it to a new location.

Gnoel had a great trip up north and was very happy to find a nice spot to stay for a while. Also Gnoel wanted to learn the history of the sculptures and he likes the ducks.
He was sleeping in a tree and he should have brought warmer clothes! He's decided to head further North again, should take him about a week he reckons, once he's packed his things.

Reject Gnoel has gone camping in the forest. Nearby to the left of his camp is a rough road, best navigated on foot which leads to a favourite coastal viewing point for our family. Gnoel enjoyed visiting this spot on this extremely rugged day, but he was glad to get back to his camp. This GPS coordinate may not be super accurate as I had trouble locking it on.
Found Gnoel sheltered along the rocky coast of Adventure Bay. I must say he's not dressed for the weather today, but he's not complaining so he must be tough. I will take him out tomorrow along with Deaf Gnome and send them both on their way to travel Tassie
Have moved Gnoel onto a bayside view filled with history.
Coastal spot next to cache...Coastal Walk. Cheers.
