Description
On the rocks.
Your looking for the standard ammo box with a food container in it.
Some goodies to swap await you.
Follow the path... look for the rocks. It is high up the bank off the path. If you take some time, you will see an easy way up there.
My second cache.. so you can be a little harsh.
Does not have a number on it yet. Will return later to do that.

This took a bit of a search but eventually uncovered it. Alan and I were nit aware that this little spot existed. So thank you Dig Dug Dag for highlighting it.
Nice to have those mud steps to lead to the right spot. I was surprised at just how wet it was in Ballan today - yet the contents of the container were in perfect condition.

After departing from the Spirit of Tasmania early this morning we headed off for a 10 week caching trip on the 'big island'. Was the roughest trip we'd ever had on the ship and then the GPS played funny games sending us all over the place to get to this, our first attempted cache.
While Mrs Beetle headed off to grab this one Mr Beetle sorted out the GPS.
This one took a while to uncover and I was thankful for the clue. Eventually our favourite container type was found and dealt with. Interesting to note that the last finder way back in November last year was also a Tasmanian caching couple.
Returning to the van Mr Beetle declared that he had found the problem - the GPS was set on avoid motorways!!!!! Don't know how that happened but we should have twigged to the problem earlier.
Thanks, a great cache to start our holiday.

We are currently touring Victoria with our geovan in tow, using geocaching as a guide. We have visited many amazing locations through geocaching and your cache High and Dry was one we visited along the way.
Many thanks Dig Dug Dag for publishing this cache for our enjoyment and adding to our geocaching experience today. Cache and contents were in excellent condition. Another nice area to visit.

Gread location. Took some infants with us. Found it, we think, but it seems someone has broken it - marbles as bits of container all over the rocks. Admin please check/ confirm

Found after the event nearby - that is a very well hidden cache! Enjoyed our little walk along the river
Found It!
A nice little walk and after a bit of wandering around I found the right set of rocks and then the cache! Nice little spot!

Initially tried from the wrong side of the park, soon realised our mistake and found the correct pathway by using the ricketty little bridge. Scrambled up and found it with the aid of the detailed hint. TFTC
We made a slight detour from the highway to Ballan to look for this cache. We enjoyed the short walk on the well made path and found the cache after a short uphill scramble. It was pleasing to find a good sized cache in a sensible hide. Cache and contents were in excellent condition. Thanks for the cache Dig Dug Dag. We hope other cachers will visit Ballan and look for this cache.
Joint *FTF* with caughtatwork and Lady caughtatwork today. This one was a little tricky to find but I love finding an ammo can. So much easier than a mint tin. Thanks very much for this cache here today.
*Recommended* as an ammo can with a 2l sistema. I love these.

Woohoo another First to Find *FTF* GabGab, Lady caughtatwork and I decided to go gnoming after we ran late at Ballarat yesterday and we had to bypass Ballan on the way home. Today we decided to head back to Ballan to clean up the local movable caches and collect a couple of new ones.
This one was a very nice cache indeed with a 2 litre sistema inside an ammo can. A 5 star cache container indeed. This was a little tricky as we weren't sure whether to be at the bottom or the top but with nothing at the bottom that could hide a large cache we ended up up top where the cache co-ordinates led us right to the cache. Very nicely done indeed.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for this cache here today. I fear few find being listed at Geocaching Australia, but I hope you persist and don't move it across to GC.
