Description

The Little Free Library hides a secret.

Outside 6 Cockburn St., Curtin, there is a cache with a logbook to sign and maybe an item to souvenir. Easy to find while walking down the street. Why not borrow a book as well. (In June 2017 someone removed the cache, but it has now been replaced.)

This appears to be a dual listing with Books (GC6NX6J) which I found at 16:30 even though the coordinates of the two caches don't quite match. Think If it is of course, it's a 2-for-1 find here. Very Happy

TNLNSL. Thanks Talbot John Lovering.

Big Grin Happy New Year... Everyone! Big Grin

1/1/22 - What a great way to start 2022! I saw the new year start with my extended family and I ended up getting to sleep about 1:30am. After a great sleep and a couple of chores, it was time to drive to Canberra and check into my hotel. Afterwards, I drove to the event and discovered that I was the first to arrive and it was great fun catching up with the other attendees. Some time during the event a group of us went and found a couple of nearby caches. For me included avenging a DNF. After the event I teamed up with Aykayem to find some caches around Gold Creek which needed a time of day/week which is muggle-less. These included some very nast... I mean clever finds hidden by TF5 and a couple of other finds.
2/1/22 - After a terrible night sleep, I woke up went to Macca's for breakfast and then headed over to the Tuggeranong Church for the service as well as a catch up with my non-geocaching friends. After that I headed off to find some caches and some lunch before heading home. I didn't find to many caches today but I will be back for some more soon.
TB visit on all caches. I would like to thank all CO's of the caches I found and for allowing them to bring me and the caching community enjoyment. TFTE and TFTC! Big Grin

P.S. After reading through the cache pages and the found logs, I believe that this one is a double listing on both GC and GCA. If it isn't, please let me know so I can fix up my logs.

Stopped by here tonight. It looks like the library has been dismantled and the cache is no more.

What a delightful cache. I wish that I had known about the pantry beforehand. A quick find at GZ . SL Took a book and a Pt left a book. DancingDancingClan CerberusClan Cerberus

It was wired to see two caches so close together on my map. After close inspection it became clear they where one and the same. Well thanks for the second listing.

Found with Black Bunny. I have seen these before and love the idea! We left a book each. Thank you for doing this wonderful thing.

Out with Just a cacher and decided to drop in and grab this series while we were in the area. We liked the idea of this one and dropped a couple of books off for the collection.

Thanks for the cache Talbot John Lovering .

Popped in early this morning to start my new year quest to visit every Little Street Library in Canberra and Queanbeyan. Have a pile of books in the car that were read over the holidays so am chuffed to be able to swap them for different ones. And got to find the cache too! Brilliant. TFTC and for maintaining this LSL. You are an inspiration and I really ought to see what I cn do to join the network.

This was a very pleasant surprise in a quiet suburban street. This publically available facility has been created with great care and thought, and together with the adjacent facility, this is a very special place. The cache was found quite quickly. The cache and contents were in good condition. We didn't take any books as we had no way of returning them or others. Thanks Talbot JohnLovering for this great cache.

GCA 1219 - 13107. Found during a short run around Canberra today in between jobs.

I have been lucky enough to have found caches in these little libraries before. I love the concept - and the cache and log itself was also fun to find. Signed the log, returned the cache, looked through the collection - then moved on as there were actually other people stopping to have a look.

Thanks Books !!

As I arrived here I found two libraries to search, but the notes soon advised me which one. I completely overlooked the log at first but was a bit more persistent after re-reading the instructions.

Thanks

Found on a lovely morning of geocaching. After parking near the book exchange, we walked over to find a group of bikers who we thought were muggles at the time. After mentioning geocaching, it all changed! We had just met the cache owner and his friends! We had a lovely conversation with the group while signing the logbook. Such an awesome hide and very well thought out - loved it! TFTC Talbot John Lovering - it was very nice to meet you! Clan Cerberus

This was a surprise...a cache Shocked. I went there with two Bookcrossing books to swap and found this cache ConfusedSmileVery Happy. A free library with books and a cache! Hard to beat that ClappingDancing. I even found another bookcrossing book there, which I swapped out, so I can log it. Wonderful! One of my favourite all time caches. TFTC Books.

As I was out and about this afternoon, I decided to pop in to take a look at his one. A very impressive set up and the correct container was soon found and the log signed. I was a little disappointed not to find a fishing mag or two Crying or Very sad

Saw the new cache published and having visited once before, my wife and I dropped by again....for me to find this new cache and so she could check the library for future reference.

Enjoyed the book of choice quite a few years ago, so no problems making the find today. Log signed and all was good.

Thanks Books.....good to visit again. Very HappyVery HappyVery Happy

#GA865 - 19:15; I received an alert earlier in the day that this cache had been published, so dropped by on my way home. After an examination of the literary works on offer, I located the log and left my mark. I have already logged the related locationless, but perhaps this location remains available for that find as well. TFTC Books Very HappyClan Cerberus

*FTF* I think I forgot to date my log in the logbook but the entry is there.
First recieved the notification as I was turning on the car to leave for work. As I was in a cranky mood the geowife probably figured a geocache would cheer me up, as she said we were late for work anyway so a little extra won't hurt. I couldn't argue with the logic so we went on the FTF hunt as it was only a little out of our way. About 15 minute earlier we arrived at GZ and I half expected to see a tankenginge or Boot65 log in the book already, however first I had to find it. I looked briefly in the obvious spot however due to the GCA app stuffing up I couldn't read the listing and the GPS pointed 25m away so I walked away to hunt where the GPS pointed, got a splinter, managed to get online via the web browser on my phone for the listing then after reading it realised my first instinct was right. Walked back and almost immediately found something a bit out of the ordinary. Opened the log book to find a blank page greeting me. TFTC and the souvenir.
