Description
This locationless has been put together with the Queensland Education and Early Learning system as the Basis.
Kindergartens, known by that name, have been around for a very long time. Parents chose to send their children to these establishments for many reason but in country/rural areas it allowed the children to socialise and begin a learning experience that progressed on to primary school. Kindergartens are separate establishments and not attached to any other education facilities. in Queensland they are part of the Creche and Kindergarten association. In Queensland over the years there have been a lot of changes to the early learning experience. If a child attended a kindergarten back in the 1950's their next experience was to go to year one in primary School. Then there was a change where a child, if they had attended a kindergarten, progressed to a pre school then year one in primary. In the majority of cases these places of learning where a separate to the primary school. Then changes again and the pre schools were closed and prep was established and these classes are part of the primary school.Children were on the primary school campus and became used to seeing other children in large numbers. At the end of their prep year they went on to year one in buildings on the same grounds. Now at a Primary School we have prep years one to six. Year 7 is now part of the high school campus.
There are locationless caches for Infant,Primary, High and Teritary. This locationless is for Australian based Kindergartens only.
To log a find on this one you need to supply a photo of a sign indicating the word Kindergarten and that this type of activity conducted at that site with the name of the Kindergarten. If possible the name of the town or suburb is listed on the sign.
There is no need to have you or your GPS or yourself in the photo. Co Ordinates are a must. This locationless may not be applicable to some states in Australia.
Congratulations to celtical for being first to log (FTF)

I was in the area of the factory, the Young Town Primary School' where I used to teach in the 80's and refreshed my memory of the Kindergarten section. It is very obvious what section of the school this building is.
I was in the area to get another photo when I realized that this kindergarten was here. The Glen Dhu Primary School, South Launceston Tasmania, was established in 1895 so it has been around for a while.
Bunbury Primary School Kindergarten, Bunbury, WA
Saw this cache the other night and thought there were no kindys locally, these days they seem to be called whatever is current at the time. Yesterday driving past a school I squealed for Mr dimor to stop so I could take a pick, I couldn't remember about yes/no to gps so you have it in the photo
This Kindergarten is part of my family history. In the early 1960s my mum Pam held the first meeting at our house in Blaxland to start the fundraising to build the preschool. One of the fundraisers was to buy a paper "brick".
Both Climbing Son snd Muso Son went to Blaxland Preschool Kindergarten before starting school and Muso Son is still friends with one of his classmates from there! TFTC
Lorne Kindergartn is situated in the town Lorne Victoria on Victoria's west coast.
Never attended this one but I did attend a kindergarten!

Sadly, I couldn't use the Kinder that I went to, as that was renamed as a 'playgroup centre'.
My sister attended pre-school in this building nearly 50 years ago, when it was a council run kindergarten. The building has presumably been renovated and modernized since then but it is still within the beautiful surrounds of Andrew Yandell Reserve. It is now a Steiner Kindergarten.
Found this Kindergarten Preschool in Baulkam Hills tonight which fits the bill for this cache. It has plenty of details on the sign. Thanks youngoldfella.
A South Yarra Community Kindergarten
Renown is a Community Kindergarten conveniently located in South Yarra near the Jam Factory, and has been providing children with their first schooling experience since 1920. Renown Kindergarten offers a dynamic learning program in a nurturing and safe environment for all our children to explore, grow, learn and express their individuality. This journey takes place in the cosy environment of the historic buildings and cosy play ground, and is guided by a dedicated teaching staff, with both an English and separately run French program available.
Just down the street from my current assignment, this helps me to collect the letter K for the sell my name locationless cache as part of the Summer Scavenger Series.
Out and about finding caches for the Summer Scavenger Series 2016 and came across this Kindergarten.
Have a pic of the obvious banner out the front and one of the building - being a Saturday no children were in attendance.
Thanks for this locationless Youngoldfella
This Kindergarten is at Kermandie in Southern Tasmania.
This facility is part of the catholic Educative System in Tasmania and its purpose is to provide young children with a sound educational grounding.
Sainted at 1515hrs.
TFTC and cheers

They are called Early Learning Centres. But I did find a sign in an older suburb.

This kindy in William Street was once a church. Nice to see it having a second life.
Thanks for this cache Youngoldfella.
This is not far of one of my nocturnal walking paths (gotta get those 10000 steps), so I diverted past here to collect a photo.
This is not the kindergarten that my kids went to, because that is not on my walking path. I did try and get a picture of that one this morning but they're having some remodelling, and the heavy equipment is obscuring their sign (and I didn't think that using Google Street view was within the spirit of the locationless).
Thanks for the locationless youngoldfella
and the staff are very didicated as are all adults who are part of this type of centre. Keep on gonig strong.
