Description
Find a disused telephone box
Although almost everyone carries a little box of magic in the form of a mobile phone it has not always been so convenient to keep in touch with other people. Back in the dark ages a telephone call required more than pulling the box of magic from your pocket and being instantly connected to a friend, either just next door or on the far side of the world. Back then you either used your own home telephone or you walked to the corner and used a public telephone, usually housed in a telephone box similar to these...
To log this cache you must take a photo of a disused telephone box, ideally with you or your gps in the photo. The box may still be on the roadside or it may be tucked away in a backyard or antique shop. Where ever it is, it's your job to sniff it out and log the find. You may log this cache a maximum of 5 times.

I drove past this disused phone box in someone's garden on my way to Stanley.
This old telephone phone Box has been converted to a private letter box.
I was driving through Sheffield looking for another cache when I noticed this old red telephone box outside the Museum on Main Street.
While in the area after caches I found these two old telephone boxes in the main street of Ross Tasmania. The one on the right is fully functional with its telephone while the one on the left no longer has its phone.
Thanks for the Locationless Cache
The phone box can be found at S22 14.401 E118 20.745
Thanks.
It also houses one of the best caches we have seen.
Thanks WazzaAndWenches....another opportunistic locationless grabbed.
Found this disused phone box a few years ago when we thought there was a cache for disused phone boxes. We didn't get to log it then because unlike the phone box we couldn't find the cache so we'll log it now. As you can see from the photo this was two caches in one, we thought we'd hit the locationless jackpot!

One is working other is disused, home to a GC.
Wauchope NSW. Just passing through and saw a Summer Scavenge opportunity.
"I decided a 400km round trip was needed for 2 scavenges...."
Top job Blossom*. More points for Clan Phoenix
This will keep pride of place once finished.
till I saw this one published. Coming home one day we had to take a photo. It is located outside a very long and well established antiques shop on the ridhg hand side of the road North Bound on the New England Highway in Crows Nest Qld. TFTL WazzaAndWenches
Thanks WazzaAndWenches
BOWRAL NSW
This red telephone box is sitting beside the Scottish Arms Hotel.
MOSS VALE NSW
This red telephone box is sitting beside the former Post Office building, and nearby is its lovely friend a little red postal box. I 'suspect' this telephone box was the one sitting over in Bowral behind the Telephone Exchange and was relocated here - a wise decision IMHO. BTW it no longer houses the telephone.
Thanks for this cache WazzaAndWenches

The heritage value of this Red Telephone Box is recognised & it is protected by a stout, spiked iron fence. The Red Telephone Box is not accessible to the public for its own protection. It is a vivid reminder of our past experience with public phones & an attraction in its own right. The building behind is the former Post Office which is heritage listed & was constructed in 1890. I like the word "ideally" as this is one of my Waymarks therefore neither I nor my Magellan are in view.
There's not a lot here but everything on display is part of Adavale's history.
This telphone booth is outside The Fox and Hounds Hotel on the Tasman Peninsula at Port Arthur Tasmania. I used to do the breakfast cooking here.
Sainted at 1115hrs.
TFTC and cheers; OldSaint.

If we'd been a bit more with it we could have been FTF on this cache. Two years ago while touring around we decided to make a dent in the list of Locationless. This was our first find but by the time we tried to log it there was no trace of a Locationless about old phone boxes. We still don't know if there ever was such a thing but since there is now . . . This phone box is in the John Oxley Caravan Park and appears to be in the original position.
