3 Commonwealth Lane, Campbell Town

Campbell Town has finally gotten the ultra-fast electric vehicle (EV) charging station it was promised, in turn giving Tasmanian drivers a charging option between the state's north and south.

The $435,000 project features two charging outlets at 3 Commonwealth Lane, Campbell Town with the ability to give an electric vehicle 350 kilometres range in only 15 minutes.

The networks' chief executive officer Chris Mills said the station was powered by 100 percent renewable energy and its centralised site unlocked the open road for drivers by connecting the north and south.

After going to Euroa for a GC first to find, we were returning home when dalerious spotted these. I had him stop the car and took a quick snap out the window, but unfortunately didn’t get the details of price etc.

We went to a Western Sydney Australia Day Community Reception hosted by the Premier of NSW at Bowman Hall in Blacktown. This was in the carpark of Blacktown City Council. No prices so maybe it is for staff vehicles! Looks like the power stations you get in Caravan Parks! The Sign does say they are electrical vehicle charging stations!

We spotted this Tesla charging station at the Macadamia Castle at Knockrow - sort of between Byron Bay and Ballina and just off the Pacific Highway. It has 6 bays and according to the Tesla Motors club forum is a supercharger - although avoid bays 1a and 1b because they are not charging at full capacity. Possibly to help power the charger or simply for their own use (and to be a good citizen) they have created a shaded carpark area (for all cars) which is actually a large solar array. Under the array was an additional, generic charging bay. As far as I can see its been only open for just over 12 months. While we were there, we spotted two cars being charged at different times.

I have no idea of costs, we looked and I tried to research but haven't found anything.

The Tesla owners seemed pretty pleased with this new charger. Thanks for the locationless.

I drive by this station each day on my commute to work. It is a Type 1 station that is free to use!

We were fairly confident we've never seen an electric charging station in our area so we checked online to find where one was......and we do have one! And what's more there isn't another for quite some distance. Even more amazing was the fact we were to visit this location in a few days. This station is at Petersen's Winery and Guesthouse. The cost of using it is included in the stay but from any info we could get it appears it hasn't had a lot of use.

Stopped to grab a snap of this charging station on my way to the Post Office just up the road a block or so. It can charge two cars at a time and two dedicated parking bays are clearly marked as such. Don't think I'll be in strife for the brief use I made in my diesel powered vehicle while I grabbed a snap. At my daughters graduation in Melbourne and spotted this charging station in the carpark under the museum. A car was being charged up. Was worried I would not find this for the Scavenger Hunt as I don't think we have many in Tasmania.

Tesla HQ in NSW. On Herbert st at St Leonard's is the main dealership that sports 5 rapid charge Tesla stations, free to use for the owners of that car brand. Anyone lend my a lazy $120,000 and I'll tell you how fast they are

This charging station is in Sydney Olympic Park in the P1 carpark on level2 (which is the level you drive in at) - 1 Edwin Flack Dr, Sydney Olympic Park. It has 2 Tesla Model S/Model Xs ports.

As far as I can see, there is no cost for charging but, as it's in the carpark, you have to pay your parking fees which are $5 for the first hour. The P1 carpark is open 24/7 so I guess you could pay $5 for a charge if it took under 1 hour.

We saw our first ever Electric Vehicle Charging Station in Kingscote on Kangaroo Island last week.
This is one of 5 on the island.
The charges are:

found this after work there are 2 in the car park under the Max Webber library. When you drive in once you go through the boom gates you turn right and they are the first 2 in the corner. You can't miss them there 2 spots have a large blue stripe painted on the ground with "Electric Vehicles Charging" painted on it. The screens on the charger has to swipe a card but there is no mention on if there is a cost involved or where you get the card either on the wall or on the library website. This charging station is at the Stocklands Shopping Centre at West Burleigh. Its been there for about 14 months. I couldn't see any indication of costs, although the display had the word free - whether free means no one is using it or free means that it doesn't cost anything to use, I could not say. I've never seen anyone use, although the various charging websites suggest they get regular use.

The Summer Scavenger Hunt has prompted me to look at the locationless caches which I haven't refreshed for a while on GSAK, and a car charging station is a new one since I last looked. This is not far from work and if I walk to or from the warehouse I go past it. Located at the Tesla dealer at St Leonards in Sydney.

Summer Scavenger Series 2016 lead to start looking for a charger station with Team Merlin we located our closet at Rouse Hill Town Centre in the carpark.
Located two chargers beside each other. You need a key to open so apart from the fact we identified the charger, no additional information could be retrieved from the site.

Luckily found a charger station in Rouse Hill...these are a bit like hens teeth out our way. With JJCC in tow for a trip into the city we did some recon on the way home and drove through the carpark of Rouse Hill Town Centre and finally manged to find the two chargers. The chargers require a key to open so apart from the fact we identified the charger, no additional information could be retrieved from the site.

Goulburn, NSW
Long-distance electric vehicle travel between Sydney (Pyrmont, NSW) and Canberra, and between Sydney and Melbourne is a reality with Tesla stations installed in Goulburn (NSW) and Wadonga (Vic).
An eight-bay supercharger stations are capable of pumping 120 kilowatts (kW) of direct current power into the Tesla on-board battery, which delivers up to 270 kilometres worth of charge within 30 minutes, free of charge, before switching to fuel. Unfortunately only Tesla electric cars are able to recharge as a different plug is needed for the Japanese models.
The Goulburn Station is conveniently located opposite a beautiful park where you can have a bite to eat, and is a stones throw to the central business district with an abundance of shops to keep you busy for more than 30 minutes, and near the railway station.

For a city the size of Toowoomba there is only the one public use charging station that I can find. There ae a few on the Campus of University of Queensland Gatton Campus that are available for the public to use. A TESLA outlet.

King George Square car park in the heart if the Brisbane CBD has this all green energy charging station. Sign says charge your car for free and save 50% on parking...I am wondering what the catch is. The nice lady parking attendant let me take the photos...I think she felt sorry for me...eg..weird lady dressed all in green waving a dog on a stick. This is for the Summer Scavenger Series 2016.

I recalled reading about a charging station being installed in my town, the first in Gippsland allowing Melbourne-based drivers to travel out here and experience my beautiful part of the world. A little Googling and I found it at Gippsland Solar out on Rocla Road. I was also entertained by the nearby graffiti; if you're going to vandalise something, why write "Fried Rice"????? Alas, I've been beaten to this charger by another team so I'm unable to log a find, a note will have to do.

As a charging station is not something I need at this point it required a little research to find one of these in Sydney. Not a lot around really but I did find a very conveniently placed Tesla charging station at the Atura hotel in Blacktown. Seeka and I were thrilled with this easy park and grab for the Summer Scavenger Series.

Western Nissan have a public charging station near their service entry area. Drive between the two building and you should spot it as you get near the large roller doors.
A quick photo, a little after hours as I wasn't interested in cars and salesmen are like vampires, latching themselves on to anything with a blood temperature.

While in Traralgon today we drove passed this ev charging point. It is a fast charge station located at 5 Rocla street Traralgon East. The station is free to the public, has hoses attached and two cars can be charged at the same time.

I had a really good look on the internet to find the closest EVCS to Nanango and this one in Gympie was on the list.
It is a public public charging station in the city of Gympie Qld. It is available 24/7 and there is no charge to use this point. You do how ever have to provide your own lead for charging your vehicle. I have attached photos to show that it is a Public Charging Station. TFTL ROSS1957

A Tesla charging station, adjacent to the Visitors Information Centre in the main centre of town. This station is free, and is part of a Tesla charging network on the east coast of Aus.

In 2015 this 30 amp level 2 electric vehicle recharger, supplemented by solar energy, was installed at the rear of the Visitor Information Centre in Mittagong, and is free to use once you are a member of ChargePoint. This recharger is accessible by 58 of the 60 EV and plug-in hybrid vehicle models on Australian roads. Another two electric vehicle models can access this EV recharger using a type of adapter.

This EV recharger is NOT a fast recharger, so it would take up to about 5 hours to fully recharge most current electric vehicles from empty.

I visited this Waymark in April 2016.

I happened to be just a few minutes walk from the Queensgate Parking Building when I saw this cache published, so went and grabbed a pic of the charging station just inside near the entrance. Charging is free here, courtesy of the City of Fremantle ... and the icing on the cake is that you can park free for up to 12 hours if you're charging your car. Not sure it's a real good deal for ratepayers, but certainly a great deal for electric car owners! Pic attached.

#GA995 - 16:45; I was in Victoria recently and spotted this electric car charging station at the RACV Goldfields Resort in Creswick. The electric car in the photograph is available for hire at $30.00 per day. If you are a guest at the resport and drive an electric car which is compatible with the charging station, then the resort will allow you to use the charging station at no cost (currently) (pardon the pun).
