Description
A lovely paddle along Forbes Creek
Park at Prince Edward Park and launch the kayaks from there. There is a small boat ramp. Paddle upstream, underneath the small bridge and continue along this quiet creek. Kayaks or canoes can be hired from the Boatshed opposite the park.
The cache can only be reached by kayak and depending on the tide it may be necessary to stand up in your kayak to reach the cache.
Best to do this cache at high tide. The higher the better. Please ensure the lid is secure when returning the log.
Enjoy.

Huge thanks to deemacvee for replacing the cache and relocating it to its correct spot. Thank you so much.
Noted a familiar looking object attached to a branch in Loftus Creek this morning. I know that cache. Nearly a FTF and often paddled past on my regular circuit. Further along, I can see where the branch broke off. The container is waterlogged and can be returned or replaced, if you like?
Well this was an adventure, up early to catch tides, tried to stand up, only foot made it, a bit scratched again. Signed log and replaced. Thanks to Tronador.

out with Nana nel to grab these GA caches by Kayak this morning. watched Nana nel try to fall i n the water while trying to recover the log book. In the end I got it.
The holidays are over, so let's enjoy a child free day and get some more difficult caches. At 10:00 I was at the boat shed to get my canoe for today and off I was!
I couldn't find it from the water level so I beached my canoe and approached from the land. Yups, there it was! I can see how this one was placed by somebody who is two heads smaller than me! TFTC.

Well I got to GZ but by then the tide was getting up and I did not want to risk an unplanned bath!
Had a good look at the tree but nothing jumped out at me.
Thanks anyway it was a lovely walk.

She doesnt lie... you really should have a kayak for this one. However it wouldn't have helped me much today as by the time I hit the creek having grabbed 2 FTFs up the hill it was dead low and I walked to the cache along the riverbed without getting my feet wet. This made retrival very tricky but a short climb and I could grab it. I then did the GC cache just a little further along, and by the time I returned to "Manning the Mast" where I had been walking on sand, the tide had turned and I was now in knee deep water. So do be careful if venturing on foot or you could find yourself swimming home. Cheers Tron!

Forgot the canoe as the tide was way to low to enter the water, in fact I was able to walk through the river in canyoning style! Glad I wasn't wearing my best shoes or walkers! The climb was still slippery enough!

After 2 FTF's this morning, I was racing on a fast out-flowing tide to reach this cache. A beautiful day for a paddle. The mullet knew the water was dropping, racing the other way. I was paced by an Azure Kingfisher. I love this paddle. So happy to see new caches up here. Familiar with the location but which tree? Oh no! That tree. In keeping with the previous find, I dropped the pencil while signing. Doh! Up and down again. Wow! Three great caches this morning. 2 X FTF and 1 x 2TF. Never did that before. Stopped for a cuppa from the thermos and a few photos (self congratulations!). Returned a phone call (reminding me I'm not really far from civilisation, in spite of the surroundings) then had to paddle like mad to find the rest of the water running out. A very nice 4 km paddle home with the tide helping me. TFTC TRONADOR

Woohoo FTF at 4:40pm! With just enough high tide to scrape through the shallows, Mr H & geoson decided to take to the high seas this afternoon to tackle this one. Well, okay, maybe more of a nice calm secluded creek, but it sounds good anyway. The sun was going down and the cockatoos were making a racket, which added to the ambience and we thoroughly enjoyed the paddle to GZ. Once at the location, the cache was soon spotted. Wouldn't it be nice if the tide was just that little bit higher, I thought. The last thing I want is to stand on the kayak and lose my balance, ending up in the drink. Or maybe that would just be karma for the CO's mishap on one of our kayak caches a couple of years ago hehe! Anyway, guess what? I could reach it whilst standing on the creek bed! You'll have to do better than that Tronador!
The duties were done, and on the way back I may have left behind something? Of course, we wouldn't want kind tides and floods to be an issue now, would we? Those mangrove trees can grow pretty high mwa-ha-ha-haaaaaa....
Thanks Tronador for a great excuse for a nice paddle, and that's another GeosportZ challenge (or 2!) ticked off!
Cheers,
