Description
A nice & grassy tranquil spot amongst the trees beside Loftus Creek.
The easiest way to approach this one is from Prince Edward Park Rd, following the pipeline trail, before taking a smaller track to GZ. It's a beautiful spot, and we were surprised how grassy it was considering the amount of tree cover. After placing the cache, we then continued along the track, which takes you out at the back of the RSL. However, this way involves some small scrambles so it probably isn't advisable for young children. Otherwise, just return the way you came back along the pipeline track.

Tftc,
why not complete this while doing other Kayak caches. Grounded 40M from GZ and made our way to the cache. Back at the Kayak to find the tide was down 150mm. the run out is fast once it starts. At the boat ramp it was down 300mm from when we started.

On our back to the boat ramp, dropped in, secured the kayak, soon located the nicely hidden container. Signed and rehid. A big thanks to Tronador.

Those houses backing on to the creek would be awesome. Really nice little spot this, shame it is not worth enough points to claim for the GCA Winter game but worth the visit none the less on my long loop walk of the area chasing some new Tronador FTFs and getting wet feet pretending to be a kayak All is well here, Cheers guys!

After a nice walk in the reserve and a couple of caches I finally made it to the water and was glad to have a little wash after the muddy experience!

What a nice little spot, so green and lush and having the creek slowly flowing by made for an idyllic location. But I bet if we stayed still long enough the mozzies would have spoiled it (actually, come to think of it, I did end up with quite a few bites after our visit, they must have been ninjas). Found quickly with Team MavEtJu, but I broke a nail in the process of replacing - the dangers of geocaching. Thanks Hancock Clan.
Out caching with ziggiau! A nice walk through the upper and lower areas west of the Sutherland cemetery.
Oh wow, this is a nice flat area which I had never seen before despite walks through this area. If I had a picnic blanket and some food I would have spend the rest of the afternoon here.

Got to this neat cache today, although it was a tough walk there and back from Sutherland station in the 35 degree heat. However all went well and the cache was found in great condition, log signed and returned to its proper place.

I came by kayak. Super easy to beach the kayak on such a low tide. Climbed up the river bank, walked to a spot that looked so right for a Hancock Clan cache. Wrong spot. Mr H was feeling kind today. I found it right where he said he left it. Nice hide. Signed the log, jumped back down to the river, paddle a few meters before getting beached again, went for another walk and paddled back to the car. I was hot by now in my life vest....... walking up the creek, I went for a swim in the Woronora, with all the other kiddies. Refreshed. Thanks for a great hide.

Woo Hoo! FTF. Only my second ever FTF. I must say, if there is a cache placed requiring a kayak and a wet ar$e on a river starting with "W", I'm there. I don't know why I was checking my email at 2am. Old work habits die hard, but what were these new caches only 4 kms away? Never really used or paid much attention to the GCA site before but there's local caches here I have not found. You beauty! As soon as I'd seen off the workers, it was onto the kayak for a fast paddle upstream. Just missed the high tide so I was travelling about 1 km/h slower than usual and that would increase, proving the rule of 12ths. Beautiful day for a paddle. Had to dodge some barges craning a swimming pool into a yard ad I turned into Loftus Creek. I wondered if someone had beaten me in by foot? Pulled ashore. Made the find 8.55am. According to GCA, this is my 500th cache, which I guess excludes the overseas finds. Back on the boat. There is another possible FTF up a ways and a 2TF a bit further, if the tide cooperates.
