The Equestrian Gate
The Equestrian Gate is located right outside the National Equestrian Centre in Werribee. Just outside Gate 4 on K Road near what can only be described as the start of a now abandoned castle wall you can find the cache which is hidden from view under an imposing tree.
The National Equestrian Centre hosts indoor arenas, polo fields, show jumping arenas, warm up arenas, stable blocks, dressage and cross country courses. Luckily you will not be required to enter the grounds as the cache is completely outside, albeit very close to the wall.
Look for a 1 litre cache at this location which is so much nicer than the usual micros around the area.
This cache was hidden as part of the GeosportZ 2016 game.

A quick find after staying the night at the Equestrian Centre (cheap, quiet and roomy) - the last night before the Surf Coast Event. TFTC caughtatwork

In Melbourne for the weekend so my wife could indulge in her hobby/passion....which luckily for me, was being held at this venue. Dropped her where she needed to be and then headed for this cache. Pulled up at the required gates and soon had the cache in hand. Log was signed cache replaced and I was off to check out golf views....

On my day off and I have found 3 caches along this road that I didn't know were here. First time using GA Caches. Cache was an easy find. Took PT. TFTC
In the 1980's and 90's Mrs Y tassie's sister and her husband managed a motel in Werribee and many of the horse ridiers stayed there. We were fortunate to meet the Roycrofts while they were staying. We watched the initial stages of this complex being built so were glad to have a reason to return and were surprised at the size of the complex today.
Again a good hint lead to a quick find in a deserted spot.
Cache and contents were in very good condition.
