Description

Another puzzle idea that I saw in Estonia last year...

Tallinn has a lot of nice looking doorknobs (some of which may even be older than Adelaide!). While Adelaide doesn't have quite as many, I still found enough to replicate the puzzle here!

Enjoy your wander around the city! Geocheck can be found on the right hand side of the page.

Gathered information for this cache over a couple of days, we enjoyed the locations we visited and matching the information to the clues.

Made a quick find at GZ, but the cache container crumbled in our hands and will need replacing.

This cache is a must do when in Adelaide, we highly recommend it.

In town for a meeting this morning, once it had finished I had spare time to wander the streets for a while gathering info Mr. Green
Then it was a short detour to GZ, find a park and another wander to a nice easy find between traffic movements Mr. GreenMr. Green

We placed this cache on our list for this trip, a little uncertain about getting to the various waypoints in normal city activity. Today however as the Monday of the longweek-end and that proved ideal. Although there was some traffic and numerous muggles, it was easy to get to each of the locations. Matching the images with addresses was straightforward and after about an hour of walking around, we had some final coordinates. We then headed off to locate the cache. Parking was the issue here but once we found a spot, we had a short walk to GZ where accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Laighside Legends for a very enjoyable cache.

We headed into town on a quiet Sunday morning to collect the clues we needed for this cache. I had already entered all the locations as child waypoints in GSAK, and printed a handy map from OziExplorer to guide our way.

We found the first few as drive-by's but soon found a free park in Victoria Square so set out to gather the remaining locations on foot. We didn't visit 46 Currie Street, as it could only be the last doorknob left on our sheet, so entered some new coordinates into the GPSr with what we had.

The final location was a surprise, so we set off that way and found a convenient, large car park nearby, making the final approach on foot. Spotting the container didn't take too long, but retrieval had to be timed with the traffic. Our stamp was added to the logbook and we replaced it exactly as found.

We headed back to the car, but not before visiting the large store. No, not to buy a doorknob, just to grab a sausage and onion for lunch!

Thanks Laighside Legends.
