Description

Released as part of the GeosportZ 2016 our first Mystrey GA cache.

Horse Rescue Australia Inc. is a non-profit organisation and registered charity, devoted to the care and rehabilitation of horses that have been abused, abandoned or neglected. We are self-funded through memberships, sponsorships, donations and benefit events, and run by volunteers. HRA receives no government funding.

Since HRA began in 1986 over 1,500 horses have passed through our gates with the vast majority placed into new homes. By supporting the new owners and not allowing horses to be sold on, we are able to assure that they will never return to the situation and conditions that led them to needing rescuing.

Although sometimes heartbreaking, it is immensely gratifying when horses make a full recovery and are placed in new, caring homes. Such rehabilitation is a long and costly process, with special feeding, ongoing veterinary attention and necessities such as dentistry and farrier work. Please look through our website and see how you can help us help neglected and abused horses. You can become a member or sponsor a horse (or all of them!). We need donations, memberships, and sponsorships constantly - this is the only way the horses can get the care, feed, vet services, medicines, rugs, etc that they need and deserve.

Id solved this ages ago and only now plugged it into the corrected coords. Nice feature this is.
Easy find but the cache no longer has a lid. It's upside down so should be temporarily waterproof but this might need a replacement container.

Solved the puzzle & have looked for it a number of times but never was ble to locate it. Recently, when GA could put in updated coords, I have been updating my solved puzzles so wwhile out here stopped foor this one but looked at the GPSr now realised I have been looking at the listed coords. DUH. As per previous log the cache no longer has a lid but the log is dry. Thanks for the puzzle Splitty Miller JJCC

More strength to these people. excellent work.
It took a moment for the penny to drop and even then I wasn't sure until "Computer said Yes". Stopped today at the end of another scavenge run and signed on. The cache might need a rescue and rehab soon. The plastic is rather brittle and cracking. Thanks Splitty Miller JJCC.

#GA2326 - 10:40; Day two of the Macquarie mayhem cache hunt with Sol de lune and andrewbt. After a big day one with 56 out 59 finds, we were optimistic about another successful day two. A few cold ones, a few logs and a few more claims for the States of the Nation game set the scene for a good night's sleep and a spring in our step as we packed up and hit the trail again today. Hope the CO's are enjoying all the Karma points rolling in as we get through our logs Whistle. Arrived at GZ and made the find under the watchful eye of a couple of locals who quickly returned to what they were doing as we filled in the log. TFTC Splitty Miller JJCC Very HappyClan Cerberus

Pulled up near GZ and soon had the cache in hand. Great to see the work these guys do. With horse mad non caching folk in my family, they were interested in reading about the group. A couple of 'residents' were interested in what we were doing, but weren't interested in coming near us. Looked in good condition as well.

Thanks for the cache and showing us the area. Recommended

9 of 35 today..

Puzzle made sense (eventually) and was added to the queue. Our run through this area netted most caches (2 DNFs!)

Out doing some caching in the Ebenezer area. This one was mentioned at the event on New Years Day but we ran out of time to do it. Plenty of time today. Found and signed log then returned as found. 2 of the COs team came out to say hi so we wandered over to chat to the horses there. TFTC Splitty Miller JJCC

Worked out a few mystery caches at home & found them after the event cache at Tizzana. Great way to spend Australia Day.

Of course I did the sums wrongly for this at first Rolling Eyes But I managed to get it right and then it was an nice easy find for another Scavenge claim. TFTC Splitty

Quickly solved this one sitting in my car at a nearby traditional GCA cache and worked out it would be on my way to the history cache. As I drove past I knew I was in the right place but old mate was taking his bins out so I drove on to the winery then returned after dark a short time later. I was confused for a while as the coords I had seemed right but the private property sign had me skittish of poking around too much. I widened my search and after a scare with uncovering a CAVE of spiders somewhere I probably shouldn't have looked I quickly spotted the hide and signed in as 2TF!

After a busy morning and a break at home a short trip during the afternoon to pick up two caches. I had my maths worked out on this one but when arriving at GZ I realised my maths was out but gathered I was still close enough. Following the hint and my caching senses I soon had the cache in hand signing a pristine log at 4pm for a FTF before replacing as found tftc
