Cape Jervis Lighthouse is a lighthouse located at the headland of Cape Jervis on the most westerly part of the Fleurieu Peninsula on the east coast of Gulf St Vincent in South Australia.

#GA5667 - 12:25; In South Oz for a break with the geohoney and today we headed down to Cape Jervis for a look around. After watching the ferries to Kangaroo Island come and go, we headed over to the lighthouse to grab a snap before heading off for Victor Harbour. TFTC Team MavEtJu Very Happy

Was travelling with my Muggle parents, but persuaded them to "take a photo" in front of the lighthouse. Wink

Dad had problems getting the whole lighthouse in though, I don't know how many we took! It's a bit of a different shape to other lighthouses I've visited. Clan Phoenix

In the area today so braved the gale force wind and rain to call past here and tick another SA lighthouse off the surprisingly long list!
Had a great view from here of the Kangaroo Island Ferry also. Unfortunately due to the rough weather it wasn't sailing today Razz

This cache was the focus of our trip south today, and we were lucky enough to see the Kangaroo Island ferry departing as we arrived at the lighthouse.

We got the necessary pics of the current lighthouse, then visited the site of the original lighthouse, which was a few metres away. The original spot has a large plaque containing some very interesting history of the lighthouse, and I've included some photos of it.

2 SA lighthouses down, 22 to go.
