Description
Mt Taylor - a bit of a mecca for those chasing better fitness, but of course that is over on the southern side and the more popular track that heads to the summit.
Over this side the track is less used and a lot less crowded. This cache is just off the road that leads the car park on this side. Simply park on the side of the road, and you can head through the fence itself or use the nearby gate. Either way you aproach, find the small rock field and and the cache will soon be yours.

This was an easy find as the cache was sitting on top of the rock! Everything OK inside, so signed and replaced where the hint suggested.
Thanks,

A quick dash from the car before the rain got too hard. Thankfully an easy find too. Found with fitzy.

GCA 1833. Found this afternoon with minniek.
I don't recall actually visiting this area - the north side of Mt Taylor - before, so when I was looking for some 'easier' caches to find in the rain I thought this one looked good. Lucky for us it was a short dash in from the car and a quick find.
TFTC SDL !! Looking at tomorrow's forecast I think we will be back for the next one up the road !

What to do when it rains heavily and puts your caching plans in chaos? You go caching of course only have to change the planned walks for an assault on drive bys.
We had planned to walk several of the tracks on Mt Taylor but due to the rain we settled for two of the Mt Taylor drive bys. This was one.
We had no trouble finding this cache in its snug hide. Dispite all the rain it was dry as was the hole it was in. We carefully checked the hide for sheltering snakes before removing the box. All was well with the cache and contents.
As we replaced the cache a smallmob of very big roo appeared and stood watching us. As we started to move off so did they. Fortunately they went in the opposite direction.
We were almost back to the car when a hugh hare bounded across the road. It was the biggest hare we have ever seen.
Thanks for the cache Sol de Lune we will remember this cache for a long time.

what better to do on a beautiful day than go caching? Nice little hidey spot, TFTC
939. Back out today (been a while since I cached both days of the weekend and now I've done it the past few weeks - winter hey?
Made this a drive by while continuing my sort of mission to clear out the 5km radius. Familial resemblance of the ones I did yesterday with good co-ords and caches in good nick.

Surely, this cache should be North of Mt Taylor.
I needed the exercise so I did this one from the main carpark. TFTC

#GA1059 - 16:50; I was at the movies last night when these were published, but it was past my bedtime by then anyway. No such problem this afternoon, although the weather looked threatening and there were a few showers on and off as I made my way around the CO's newer caches and a couple of slightly older ones. This was the sixth stop and the first on Mt Taylor. Parked close to GZ and made my way through the fence and over to where the cache was waiting for me. TFTC Sol de lune
