Description

Have you ever seen the Transformers logos for Autobots and Decepticon on cars? Well if you have, you can now log them as part of this locationless cache!

I'm sure that most of you have heard of the TV, movie and toy franchise, 'Transformers.' This is the franchise where two opposing alien robot factions, the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons, fight against each other whilst having the ability to transform and to disguise as veichles and weapons. Some of the most famous Autobots include Optimus Prime (who transforms into a red and blue truck) and Bumblebee (who transforms into a yellow and black Chevrolet). Alternatively, the most famous Decepitcon is Megatron (who transforms into a canon).

Now whether you love or hate the toys, films and movies that have come out (I know for a fact that I despise the four Transformers movies directed by Michael Bay), you perhaps may have seen the Autobot and Decepticon logos while driving. Here is a photo of the Autobot and Decepticon logos respectively:

As part of the franchise, each robot has either an Autobot or Decepticon logo as a means of identifying their faction. Often, fans of the Transformers franchinse will purchase metal decals of the Autobot and Decepticon logos so that they can stick them on the outside of their cars so that it jokingly appears that their car is a transformer itself! In Canberra and many other locations, I have seen quite a few cars with these decals on them. Here are some examples of ways they are placed on cars.

So as you have probably guessed, your task for this locationless is to find a car in Australia that has at least one metal decal of either an Autobot or Decepticon symbol on any part of the car. You must provide me with the approximate coordinates of where you found the car plus a photo of the car and its decal. If possible, please include yourself or your GPS in the photo as a means of individualising each photo, however it is not nessisarily a requirement for this locationless.

I can't wait to see all the decals that you guys find! FTF honours goes to 2y'stassies!

I had all the family looking for one of these for the Scavenge Series Dec 17/Jan 18. All I got was a photo of one at Supercheap that Muso Son sent me.
When the Scavenger Series finished I didnt think about it. Today MrT told me he had photographed one while he was waiting for the car to get new tyres yesterday. When I went to log it I noticed it has since been archived. Hope it is still ok to log

I have two boys so transformers have been a big part of the toys in our house for quite a few years now. We have always pointed out the cars with Deceptacons and Autobot stickers, and thought they were apart of Cybertron world. When I saw this cache come up during the summer games I was worried I would not see any cars with the stickers, and then low and behold this one showed up. Nice stuff, just a picture of me with a Autobot. Robots in disguise!

Doing the daycare drop off this morning, got out of the car and what is parked behind me, an autobot! A great find for the State of the Nation game. A decal on the front bonnet and some transforms or cars decorating the dashboard.
Thanks for the different locationless Toyhunters.

We had just, excitedly, pulled up at Chadstone for a CHILD FREE shopping experience! We'd dropped the spiderlings with their grandparents and could actually do returns, exchanges and boring shopping efficiently and without whinging. We hopped out and I thought "this is a place to look for TBs"....but better, a transformer was parked right next to us! Hoorah! TFTC Toy hunters

So this is what that logo means?

I pulled up behind a Ford Ranger at the traffic lights. Thanks to this locationless I recognised what it meant and had just enought time to snap a quick photo. Hopefully without being seen by the boys and girls in blue.

You are missing an icon on the cache page but I think this is a decepticon.

Thanks for the locationless.

Travelling in heavy traffic and getting stopped at every set of lights was becoming the most tiring thing ever until we stopped behind an autobot. Laughing Happy to find another scavenge for the States of the Nation.

Uh-oh, looks like we're trying to overstep the maximum number of finds - will leave it as a note.

Drat - I was following one yesterday and had no idea what the logo meant. The current summer game brought it to my attention.

While walking the dog I saw this decal on a parked car. I remembered it was a locationless cache so I got out my phone and took a photo. Clapping

Spotted this transformer while staying at the Kings Canyon Resort. Realised we'd better get a pic now because later there's no telling what part in the campers set up the sticker would end up. An amble past with the phone and another locationless done. Laughing

We were travelling through Acacia Ridge in Brisbane and pulled up at a red light behind a car with one of these decals on the back.
Somewhere in the back of our memory we recalled a cache for this 'thing'. Very Happy A photo was taken, the lights changed to green and the car disappeared from sight. But we got a photo Dancing
Then the hardest task was finding this cache page to log it. Very HappyClapping (We aren't at all familiar with these things and couldn't remember the cache name.)
Thanks toy hunters.

I saw this one in the car park at the Cinema complex in North Rockhampton Qld. Looks right to me but then again I am not into this
series of entertainment. If not right let me know and I will delete the log. TFTL Toy Hunters. Clan MinotaurVery HappyClan Minotaur

We were given one of these car badges recently and decided to wait until we had a gap on our calendar to log it. Not sure that it'll be a permanent addition to the cachemobile though. TFTC

The FTF for this cache was up for grabs and my eyes were peeled and then I saw it. Not one, not two but three transformer stickers on this bomb of a car that stopped right in front of my pram at a t-intersection! I was too slow - I couldn't get the phone out and snap a picture before it sped away and alas, the FTF slipped from my grasp. Weeks later and I've spotted this car in the car park at my local shopping centre. Exciting, but not the same buzz as the original sighting. TFTC toy hunters

When we were shopping today we unexpectedly came across an Autobot badge. Well, we had no option but to buy it. The attached photo is a collation of two images: a close view of the Autobot badge on our car; a view from further away. Mrs y'stassie had to hold our GPS as the wind was trying to blow it across the bonnet of our car. There being no other entries, we will claim FTF. Thanks Toy Hunters for the cache.
