Description

Sometimes we just have to help ourselves to help others

This locationless is published to assist everyone who needs a helping hand  with meeting challenges that are part of the 2016/2017 Scavenger summer game.

Trying to find a cache with the word peak in the name and I was having a lot of problems. So I did a Dr Google search and according to the Dictionary.

2.1 British A stiff brim at the front of a cap.   Now that reads Ok to me. So why not make a locationless for it. So I have.

I am not going to make this one that easy.  When I saw the meaning a thought came to mind. I counted my caps and I have over forty caps.

Logging requirements.:-

1. No GPSr required in the photo.

2. Photo of you wearing a cap is optional.

3.The photo must show at least ten caps with peaks.

4. Co Ordinates where photo taken optional as more than likely the photo will be taken at your home.

So if you do not have that many caps beg borrow or acquire on short term loan.

I will be counting the number of caps in the photo, ( you think)  No doubt someone will be counting mine.

Enjoy

Our son moved in to his own home over two years ago but unfortunately our house is still full of his stuff!!!
So when I spotted this cache in a query I'd done on unfound locationless I went to his old bedroom, opened the wardrobe and there were 11 caps.
I have some of my own but didn't need them to meet this challenge.
Thanks.

Very easy collect ten caps with a peak in our house.
Muggle Hubby has many Bomber ones from his favourite footy team, but pride of place goes to the United Nations cap our son wore whilst on active duty overseas in the army.
Thanks for my daily locationless Youngoldfella.

We have had rain for a few days, which is great for us in the Blue Mountains as everything was so dry. Also it gives me the opportunity to look at some Locationless caches!

We have plenty of caps, but put 10 of the ones in better condition!TFTC

Must admit I do have a few in the collection.

I pulled out just the 10 but could have thrown in another 20-30 or so.

Been collecting them for a few years.

Sure I'll collect a few more.

Hmmm, so this is a cache about mountain-tops? No - caps! Collections of caps! COOL!

So I've gone around the house and gathered up all the caps (with peaks) I could find. Total is 25, my son would have a few more but he's a bit crook today so I didn't bother him.

A lot of fun photoes in the gallery for this cache. Good one! TFTC YoungOldFella!

MrGT54 has a collection of caps. Here are some of them. TFTC

I have a collection of peak caps that I've been adding to for years. I try to buy one from each state I visit, both here and in the US. I've covered all the Australia states, and I'm up to 39 of the 50 US. Still a couple of trips to grab eth rest.

A couple of photos showing about 22 in the collection.

Thanks again Youngoldfella.....

youngoldfella thanks for the cache.

I'll start off by saying I never wear caps but when I'm given one I'll quite happily take it.

When I noticed this cache I thought I would get them out and take a photo of them.

There is 22 caps and I have another sitting at work.

I was worried that I was going to have to climb a peak for the SSS but luckily I discovered this cache. It was no challenge for me to find 10 caps in my house. A few years ago I needed to cover my head with a beanie when the weather was cold and a cap when the sun was shining. My hair has grown back but I still have my wardrobe of beanies and caps. My sons also contributed a few caps to make a photo of twenty caps for my log.
Thank you youngoldfella for creating this cache for us all to enjoy.

It took a lot of scrounging in the far reaches of cupboards before I could turn up nine caps.....great, one more and both boys are asleep in bed, not to be disturbed as I'm solo-parenting tonight....and the garage was my lucky charm! I wonder if you can tell which footy team we support? LaughingWink

My gsak query looking for a cache with 'Peak' in it turned up this one. I know I have a few caps around the house, but do I have 10 of them? Well I found these 13 without too much trouble and didn't even have to get my favourite I wear geocaching out of the car. Cool to grab this cache and make another claim for the SSS. Thanks a lot Smile

So proud to be a part of team Freshii, opening our first store in Australia, at Joondalup WA, October 2016. All going well, we shall pop up new stores across all Aussie capital cities. In photo I'm at back right, blinked (eyes closed).

When we saw this cache we knew that we were definitely in with a chance.
The photo shows more than thirty caps from our collection.
There are a few bags more in the back room. lol
The Wedgetail Inn cap is our youngest son's pride and joy. It was a gift from a family who we assisted when they rolled their car on the Nullarbor.
The black one with the LEDs was a gift to me from that son, for Father's day last year, to help me find caches at night. The grey cap at the front is a little bit different to the rest. The peak is underneath as opposed to to out the front. This was my father's cap.
Every cap has it's own story, as I'm sure is the case with most people's collection. Smile
Thanks for this cache Youngoldfella, which had us reminiscing.
We like that your name has a touch of "Gold" in it too. Very Happy

In the caravan we were short on caps so rounded up our fellow campers and here is the result.

Thanks for creating this cache we appreciate being able to "peak" with this one.

Wow! That might be easy for some... but not us. Sad We couldn't scratch up 10 caps. Not even half that.
So tonight we are visiting friends and mentioned our dilemma. Within seconds we had 10 caps on the table.
Problem solved. ClappingDancing
Thanks heaps youngoldfella.

As there are no peaked caps in our house (we prefer wide brim hats because of their better sun protection) we went looking for a suitable collection. We found such a collection at a local petrol station. A photo of the collection of more than 10 peaked caps has been added to the Gallery. Thanks youngoldfella got the locationless.

Well that saves me a trip down to Wollongong - so thank you for setting this one up.
I had a quick rifle round the house and soon found 10 peaked caps.

Found a small selection of Mr W's caps and lined them up. A good idea for a cache and certainly an easy "peak" find. TFTL

Published. Now go and grab your cap collection. Borrow all the families or friends if you need to get the numbers. These days a cap with peak is about as common as dirt in the garden. Have fun. Clan MinotaurVery HappyClan MinotaurClappingClan Minotaur
