Description

J & J's thirty-sixth geocache hide. A small traditional along a sandy 4WD track.

The warning sign states 'Sandy Track' and recommends 4x4 only.

On the day we hid the cache, the track would be navigable by a 2WD car that had reasonable clearance.

You are looking for a small Sistema painted in cammo colours. It contains a stash note, logbook, small pen, dessicant and a zip-lock baggie.

Happy hunting!

A sandy track it is .... With our adventures overlooked by free range chooks who seemed very interested in our antics. Great to see chooks roaming free and happy as they supervised our hunt. Whheels and I located the cache and replaced it and erased our tracks as if we had never been there. But the chooks know better....

Found this afternoon with Glo18.

We had the 4wd, but despair not if you don't have one, it is but a short walk from the end of the bitumen.

All is in excellent condition.

Many TFTC J_&J.

After the Pi breakfast we headed out to look for some DragonZone caches in several zones where we did not have finds. This one was on the way so we stopped first to sus out the track which was indeed true to its name. We parked our 2WD low clearance vehicle on the grass verge at the start of the track and walked to GZ - all 60m. We could see the cache container at the base of the slope. It appeared that an animal may have dislodged it from its hiding spot and it slid down then bank. After signing the log we replaced as per the hint and placed some wood around it to hold it in place hopefully.

As we replaced the cache a 4WD ute roared by and as we reached our car another headed down the track. Obviously the locals frequently use this track. We were just about to leave when a third car approached. The occupants got out, inspected the start of the track, got back in their car, turned around and drove off. We can see why there is a 4WD only but had a grin at the second sign, Impassible in Summer. Obviously the locals don't believe the second notice.

Thanks for this cache J_&_J and for showing us this Sandy Track. Container and contents were in good condition.

Found It!
The Hilux got me to within two steps of the cache. The problem was that I spent some time wandering around looking in all the wrong trees before spotting the cache right next to where I parked. Nice to give the 4WD a bit of play to!

A second FTF in one day, now I wasn't expecting that, or all those beady little eyes looking down on me as I sign the logbook Whistle
Since I was in the Cruze I took the walk to GZ option, but it was a lovely day for walking at any rate Mr. Green
Cheers and thanks for another fun cache J & J
