Description

A cache hidden for the 2016 Scavenger Hun

A nice spot nearby to sit and watch the world go by. Maybe you could sign logbook while taking in the view. When you are done, take a walk up the hill into the national park. It is simply stunning on a nice day.

Yes I am a scavenger. We despaired when we arrived as we could not find the cache at our posted co-ordinates, but as we were looking around trying to think where else it could be I spotted it through the gap under the landing. So it turned out to be not quite as difficult as I made it. Alas the tin was rusted shut and the hinges are rusted away but the cache was still opened and the goods inside are in great condition.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for this geocache here today and I'm happy that it's been found again after so long without any finds. I'm sure you've even forgotten about this one, but it's still there, it can be found and with some muscle can even be opened.

This particular cache was on my hit-list for the scavenger hunt and, fancy that, an upcoming patient happens to reside in Ferntree Gully! I timed it perfectly, with about a half hour to search for this and the nearby moveable though sadly this one was my only success. I got a little stuck with the navigation - that court is really a court and driving a VW Golf up the stairs isn't ever going to work. I found the right parking spot in the end, figured out where the hide would be without the hint and commenced the search. I spotted it from just the right angle, reached through the spider webs and got the happiest surprise! Thanks for the pathtag!!! That's even better than the *FTF* as I've never found a pathtag in a cache before. TFTC ahomburg - go phoenix! Clan Phoenix
