Day 13 Mainland trip
Still camped on site after attending the Clear Waters Mega which was a great event. Thanks to all the organising Committee and volunteers we had a fantastic time. Today out hunting caches with Tassie Trekkers and this was one we found. Nice to turn a pre solved puzzle into a smiley. TFTP

Out caching with Smittengranny chasing points for the summer game. Following a trail close by so could not let this one get away. Its already getting warm so good to get this and back to the car. Looking forward to the drive up to the top.

Another great day out caching with Joolay after more points in the current game. Thanks to Minniek for the trail up Mt Stromlo and SDL for all his scattered around the area this being another of them. We continued on and found a few trigs then topped the day off with a stash of movables. All logs were signed and cache returned to their hidey holes.

Nice spot with reasonable views of the road and the convoy that was meeting there. found easily and signed log. TFTC
Found on a NYE caching run around this area of town. It was getting pretty hot at this time of day, but once I applied the sunscreen, I dashed up the hill - through all of the grass seeds - to GZ for a very quick and expected find. Great little views! Cache contents are doing well, one year later - merry Christmas (once again) and a happy new year! TNLNSL. TFTC SdL!

Found 6:07pm with girlfriend. Out in the Stromlo area to find some caches. I was using the Geocube app and it was a bit of hit and miss as the compass function does not seem to work well. But slowly worked out where GZ was and then it was a matter of working out which actual location. It was the girlfriend that spotted the cache first when we started looking at the right tree.
Thanks for the cache.

Interesting to see a couple of strawberry trees here (see GC32BR2). Normally a garden tree, but I suppose birds planted these. All OK with the cache. Thanks

We were following a GCA trail up Mount Stromlo. We stopped and Mrs y'stassie went back to look for one of the caches in the series. Mr y'stassie noticed that this cache was nearby. Thankfully the rain had almost stopped and he headed off to look for this cache. The grass had started to grow but it was the blackberries that were showing some vigour - in another month it will be much harder to get through to GZ without a machete or similar implement (the ground is too rough for a ride-on lawn mower!!!!). Hence, he had to pick his way to GZ where accurate coordinates led to a quick find in the "sort of Christmas tree". The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Sol de Lune for the cache.
Met up with fitzy here for our daily grab. Parked at the Gate (making fitzy park across the road - lol!) and we wandered up the hill. A quick search at GZ and I found a familiar SDL hide. Nice

#GA2010 - 12:50; After a quiet couple of weeks, I decided that I should get back into the swing of things and pit some more work into filling in my dZ calendar. This cache wasn't on the list, but it was so close when I pulled over to identify today's target I just had to take a stroll and was rewarded with a quick find once I was at GZ. TFTC Sol de lune

Christmas in July... Didnt look much like a christmas tree to me though. Found my present. Thanks.
Nice trees here but not very Christmassy. It topped off a nice walk anyhow. TFTC

933. Most likely the last for the day as I head home, put the feet up and rest until the Brave take on Adrenaline tonight in the second leg of the double header. It looks like cricket is out for the next little while after last nights result and the Blues aren't filling me with hope. Maybe the sort of Christmas Tree can sort those things out for me.
