Description

Canberra is known for its collection of mind bending mystery caches. Some will have you tearing your hair out, yelling out in frustration and generally hoping they are all just a bad dream.

This isn't one of them.   Oh, and the cache is not at the posted coordinates!

Why is this area devoid of caches? Maybe there are some here. Maybe there aren't. You just can't be sure with mystery caches. They could be anywhere. You could spend half your life looking for clues to figuring the coordinates and find that you're just one off in both directions.

Good luck with this one....hope the answer isn't too far away for you.

(Note:    The idea for this cache was not mine.....I've borrowed it from another ACT cacher would gave up caching many years ago....but I thank them for the idea)

I was nearby and had a look at the listing. Didn't see anything obvious, then I had a thought and I tried a spot which turned out to be correct.

Cache all OK and log dry. A bit hard to cover something this size.

Thanks,

Well, this one took way too long to figure out.

Adjust here, adjust there.. no.. no dice.

I even had a hint. That didn't sink in.

I finally got told what to do. So I did.

HAH!

Initially I was up the creek with out a paddle, but then the penny dropped. A nice walk in some recently familiar territory and a quick find. How could one miss it and a bonus..........no grass seeds in the socks.

#GA1185 - 17:40; I got a tip that there might be some new caches emerging now a certain CO had returned from sailing the high seas, just pleasantly surprised they were so close to home. This was the last of three on my list for this afternoon's run and the one I had the least confidence about. I tried something left field and it worked on the coord checker, so I knew I had to be close. I'm not sure about the hint, as I spotted the cache from about 25 metres away on the approach. Seems the CO may have pushed it under and notv realised how far it protruded under the other side Rolling Eyes Anyway, it was another blank log book and another *FTF*, so I was happy with the result.
