Set out to get some of the GA's in the area, with much help from the CO's. Is that a surprise to anyone?!
Thanks to outdoor nut 22 for doing the brain work once again for us. Out to find a few caches we had on our list for a while. In between storms and showers we ducked out to have a look for this one. don't know that this was my favourite find today, in my mind it was a bit sketchy, good think=g I had my sure footed adventurer with me to scramble up the rocks, and I'm usually pretty comfterable on a rock face..... in my mind there wad have easily been a safer place for this with just as good a view. but thanks to Outdoornut22 it was a successful log sign and we were off again. time to find another one!

Out to find a few caches we had on our list for a while. In between storms and showers we ducked out to have a look for this one. now this find was a little dodgy and I am fairly confident in heights and being on rock faces. pretty high consequence if you were to fall. I carefully worked my way along to it and with my height and reach I was able to get the cache out of its hole. Sophie actually turned away and couldn't watch. we signed the log and scrambled back up the rock to the car. This cache is only for the sure footed and even then please be careful. tftc

Nice weather for caching in the Hawkesbury today.
I thought I saw the cache in a fairly precarious position, but it turned out to be an old lightshade. Then on the way back up, I spotted the real thing in a less hazardous and easier to reach spot. Signed and returned, well sheltered. Thanks again teamMerlin.

Not so much a DNF as a did not attempt. In the absence of anything to mitigate against a fall, we decided that discretion was the better part of valour today, despite the fact we could see the cache in position!
We came, we saw, we backed out....
Cache is sitting nicely in its hidey hole but none us were confident in taking the last few steps, so this is one that gets away from us. No problems though, congrats to those who do get their name in the log book.
Thanks anyway TeamMerlin...just too much for us.

Well I did actually, cache is safe and well, it was in my view. However alone and without a rope caution prevailed and i didn't attempt the last few metres as my wife would have killed me...if the fall didn't I'll be back with a harness!

At the nearby International Geocaching Day event at Tizzana Winery, celtical suggested we have a crack at the GC cache Edgy. Arrived with a group of keen cachers and soon had Edgy sorted. I had been to this location previously on my own and made a quick calculation that it's not a good idea to attempt solo. With a small group however (including rope just in case), we ventured below and GraemeCookie soon had CIH without need of any safety equipment.

Solved this a while ago but didn’t get a chance to get out there. Once there did what the hint said and soon came on the cache. It was worth the trip here for the find. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the puzzle teamMerlin

Needing this cache to claim for Summer Scavenger Series 2016 usually avoiding these type of caches as they are too difficult.
On reading was able to determine GZ with coordinates in hand went to claim my prize. This was in a lovely area off the road. Parked the car and walked the short distance to GZ worked out from hint needing to go down then across and up. Ground cover loose under foot. Approaching GZ the cache looked like it was nested behind a suspicious rock. It was then realizing I need to scale the rock covered in moss. This was at my limit I quickly and carefully reached for the cache sign the log not looking down and returned. With great care I went back the way I came. Great views of the river here.
If you do this cache be extremely careful. Best not alone.

I was only 5km away today so thought I'd go and look at this GZ. I wasn't sure where to climb down or how far down to go and also not sure exactly where I was aiming for once I was perched on the slope so I decided my fear of heights would win for this cache. Nice views from here though.
Saw this one published, quickly worked out where GZ was and took my trusty geo-mobile for a drive. with 10 Meters to GZ and surveying the probable path down I contacted the CO who works not far away. He indicated he would come over.
He came and joined me and then the path down was taken, Felt comfortable with two of us there. I recently did 'on the edge of reason' and think this one is even more precarious. There is a lot of loose scree on the way down, not to mention the scramble back up. If you are afraid of heights do not attempt. Working in a team of two or more would be helpful particularly if troubles are encountered.
With the log signed *FTF* and cache replaced it was a scramble out and up. tftc
