A hood one to do on the weekend. Totally empty right now. Expected it to be even higher but soon found the cache and since I had the ladder with me used that for an easy retrieval. Thanks for the fun!
Found with Kittykatch as it was her Geocaching Aust anniversary. Good little cache and good to find. TFTC

GCA 1696. An interesting find for a variety of reasons ! Lol..
I sussed this one out earlier today after dropping the Geo-Daughter off at a party. Realising I needed more than the milk crate I had with me I headed home and grabbed the ladder. After picking up the GD we headed back over to GZ. Parked next to the tree as more cover from the Kid City crowd and got the ladder out. A quick grab and I sat in the car filling out the log. Then - damn - muggles appeared. I was ready to wait them out when the muggle said "Can we sign it too?" Lol - Goldenwattle and decrypter - fresh from other tree climb caches. What are the odds? However, I was then entertained with an example of how NOT to climb a tree !! After the carnage the cache was replaced and we all went on our way....

Yes, as Decrypter wrote, we found others here when we arrived. Nice little meet up. It also made caching easy , as the log was just waiting for us to sign.

Came to this on this Wintery (snowing) Canberra day with Goldenwattle. Funny, there was a vehicle at GZ with a ladder out, what could they be doing?
it turned of course to be another cacher doing the same cache and they had conveniently already retrieved the container out of the tree.
After some cacher comradery we signed the log. I thought,I can easily climb up the tree without a ladder and return the cache. so I grabbed hold of a branch and began to pull myself up.
All went well until the branch decided to break and dump me unceremoniously onto the ground! Fortunately, I was not at all hurt except for a little embarrassed. The ladder was used to return the cache!
Thanks For The Cache Tanso

A quick find with Black Bunny while out running errands this morning. Always fun to watch a bunny climb a tree.

I was prepared today and was able to deal with this one at a quiet moment without any problems.

all good to go I have put a new one up and the wind will not be ble to get this one down!!!
Out this side of town and called into for this. Found the cache without issue and was then joined by the owner who spied me looking around. Yep, the cache needs to go back into it's rightful position, but for me, I'm glad I made the find today.....
Thanks Tanso....nicely done.

#GA1180 - 18:05; After an earlier unsuccessful attempt on this cache, I made my return tonight on the way to the airport. Changed my thinking a little to hunt out trees which others might be able to scale, rather than limiting the hunt to those which I might be able to scale without breaking them, or me! Turns out that's what was required and I soon located the correct GZ and to my surprise a somewhat lower terrain rating than I had expected. For the moment at least TFTC Tanso

headed home and decided to stop by for this one. I'm reminded of a nearby GC cache, which is not a bad thing at all. TFTC!
Dropped by tonight on the way home from the Christmas Event. Looked high and low and saw nothing of interest. Checked the hint and found that didn't help either. Saw a likely looking tree, but GPSr had that about 37 metres from posted coords. Help!

Thought I should take a look at this one given its proximity to where one works. Wandered over and found it on the ground. After the signing duties were performed, I replaced it at a slightly easier altitude. Thanks Tanso for the fun.
