Description
A locationless with the word creek with out an s attached for the Summer Scavenger Series - Your Welcome.
This cache is for well worn creeks where water no longer flows freely. This is not just erossion or irregular water runs from hill tops. It is preffered that it is even marked on a map as being a creek.
To log the cache, please add a photo of yourself and/or your GPS at the dry creek bed (sorry if you've had lots of rain - you'll just have to wait), and add the coordinates of where the photo was taken. This cache can only be logged for finds after the publish date - no old finds and photos, sorry.

When we visited Alice Springs last year we followed the highway north looking for caches along a trail. Along the way we came across 16 mile creek which was dry as a bone. Three photos have been added to the Gallery: the name sign; and a view of the creek each side of the road showing the completely dry creek. Thanks no_tomorrow for the cache.

Barkers Creek in the South Burnett region of Queensland has it source way up in the Bunya Mountains and has a few major creeks that empty into it before it reaches the end of its journey at Barambah Lake at B'Jkelke Pertersen Dam. The Creek at the crossing on P. McNmaras Road only closes the crossing once or twice a ear if we are luckyu. local ruyn off from the brief storm and showers we get just fill up the dry water holes and the only way for this creek to run as it did in the 2010 and 2011 and 20q3 floods is for a lot of rain in the Bunya Mountains and then big heaps of storm rain from there wall the way towards Nanango. This is a bridge over a creek near The Glenn in Bonnet Bay. Sometimes there is water in it, sometimes there is not. There is a dam upstream which makes sure there is enough water for the area.
The personage in the photo is GeoDirk, who has to suffer through my adventures.

Found this dry creek on the outskirts of Mount Isa. later that day it was flowing with water with a little rain
This is Zoo Creek. I hate this creek. I have been here a few times looking for one cache. I think I may be here a few more too. Hopefully not. Maybe the next visit I'll get it. I didn't bother looking today as I had to beat the sundown for the Summer Scavenger Series.
Coal Creek is as dry as.
On our way home from Woodford this arvo we crossed many dry creeks.
We stopped at Coal Creek for some photos.
Thanks No_Tomorrow.

Out and about for the Summer Scavenger Series 2016 and spotted this creek on the GPS - not a big creek - but a creek with no water.
Thanks NO_Tomorrow
