Description

An easy find [SSS]

An easy find [SSS] is a difficulty 1 geocache hidden for the Summer Scavenger Series.

You really shouldn't have too much trouble here. There is really only one location that you could hide a geocache here if you think cunningly. You are looking for a 200ml sistema container painted brown and it blends in nicely. If you really need assistance, then the hint will be helpful.

Scratched around like a hen looking for earthworms.
I spent over 20 minutes and searched all up and down.
Over near the other stand of trees too.
I even looked in the paddock but no joy here today.
I may return but probably not until someone else, better than me, makes the find.
Unless you feel like dropping by and confirming that it is still here.
Cheers, Rod. Sad

Well... that took quite a bit of scrabbling about, and I thought I was going to come up empty again until... phew.

I decided to continue exploring the western bike trails... this time the Western Freeway was my target, so I caught the train to Sunshine to ride the last section of the Kororoit Creek before continuing westward.

A fine evening, and a mostly successful hunt (apart from a couple of fruitless scrambles in the bushes), and edging closer to the 10% target I want to maintain.

Thanks, GabGab.

#GA1845 - 09:25; Day two of a caching mission to Victoria with Sol de lune. Our major goal for the week is to complete the SSS and other series along the Western Freeway/Ring Road and to then collect enough GCA caches around Docklands to bring our total finds for the day to 100+ which would build our trophy cabinets a bit more as we complete a few more 'missions'. This was one of 82 finds in just under 6 hours along the various series, where we only had the one DNF! This one was almost a DNF as we searched the area around GZ and did a second run after checking the hint without success. Sdl eventually spotted the cache lying over the fence and in the paddock about 15 metres from GZ. Not such an easy find for us, but we returned it to its correct hiding spot so maybe the next finder will have an easier job of it! Apologies for the mostly generic logs. Off and running along the path and it was simply a matter of riding, stopping, finding the cache, signing the log, replacing the cache and then moving on to the next one.

This was one that we found away from GZ. In fact we found it over the fence that is behind the tree in question. Managed to get over the fence and once the log was signed, we replaced the cache as per hint. Hopefully all should be. An animal moved it maybe, but if so they certainly took a good distance away.

Anyway, all good now I hope.....thanks for another one GabGab....

We spent the morning walking the bike/walking paths along side the Western Highway. We enjoyed the variety of hides, the accuracy of the coordinates and the size of the containers. Most caches were quick finds and the caches and their contents were in good condition. Thanks GabGab for this cache and the many placed in the area.

An easy find indeed. I used by phone to find this geocache here today as I needed it for the Zen and the Art of Phone Caching locationless geocache. Kind of a double banger as it were. The cache was a n easy find within a few metres of where my phone was indicating and the only logical location to hide a geocache here today. Thanks for this geocache GabGab, a nice series of caches along this pathway. Clan Griffin

I decided to walk to this group of caches rather than drag the bike out of the car and reassemble it.
It was only a few hundred meters and a pleasant morning for a stroll.

Thanks GabGab
