Description

This cache will bring you to a lovely lookout area. Bring morning tea and sit for a bit in the quiet of this peaceful spot.

The best parking place is in Bridgeview Crescent. From here, a soft track brings you pretty near this cache and it's only a short distance through the bush, across to the lookout. A lovely alternative is to go cross-country from my previous cache "Is this a Creek?" which is how I initially found this location. The bush a really open and so pretty it seems a shame to take the track when there's such a nice alternative.

Came from below (Dad and 8yo daughter) and followed what was a barely trodden goat track up in the direction of the GPS mark, but ended up well wide. Bush-bashed back to the mark and have little doubt we found the look-out, but searched extensively in a ridiculous number of caves and hidey holes around and below to no avail. Gave up, found our way back to the river below, and had a nice picnic lunch in the sunshine.

What a pleasant change in the weather. Wandered all the way down the cool, damp trail and found after a bit of searching. Actually, it was quite exposed and although I'm 2nd to log, others have found it since Zal, Fortunately, they just noted their find and left everything safe and sound.

There is a DZ badge on offer today for a find on Christmas and this seemed like a great option for Zhaoy and I to do a post-Christmas lunch walk. We tried from the NP park below but despite Google indicating there was a path we couldn't see it so we returned to the path I trod last week to do the multi. It starts easy and gets a bit slippery on the needles under the sheoaks. Zhaoy's choice of footwear, sandals, quickly alerted us to the the near infestation of tiger leeches in the area! Her feet were under assault for the last 50m before the cliff edge. She also got attacked by a branch and copped some nasty scratches. So pay heed to the T rating and dress appropriately. At GZ Blossom must have been in a vengeful mood for my using my height to my advantage on an earlier hide, as this one is certainly more suited to Blossom sized hunters! We signed and enjoyed the view then braved the leech fest home. I thought we got them all but one managed to hide between Zhaoy's toes and hitch a ride home. Cheeky little sucker. Cheers Blossom, another great cache!
