Description

Simple and serene

Yes, it is part of the Scavenger series but this is a delightful locale.  Pull up a pew, sit right in the middle and by the way, the nano is right behind you.  There is parking within 30 metres so do yourselves a favour.  The difficulty is because of the log extraction followed by log rerolling.  Please enjoy.

Found on a hot afternoon . It was better to be driving around in air conditioned car than sitting around at home. This was a pretty quick find thanks to the hint however we nearly lost half of it when it slipped out of my hands. Thank goodness for the type it is! After signing duties were completed it was successfulky returned to its hidey hole. TFTC Agent Basil. Dancing

Smittengranny and I were out and about finding close caches for the GA game. It was hot but a lovely place to stop. Reasonably quick find. Cache in good condition though we did nearly drop it.

A nice tour along the lake today, very pretty spots with GC and GCA caches along here.

Parked nearby and made a quick find.

Thanks,

My weekly after work caching exercise on Friday allowed me to get close to a few GCAs along my way. I tried this some time ago but it was missing then. Today it was fine.

Thanks

I cycled along the lake path, so stopped to find this cache, and saw it on approach. I found seven caches and started a multicache, but this was the only GA cache today. TFTC and for replacing it Agent Basil.

Checked today. Magnet still holding

Well, replaced would be more accurate - Get in quick whilst it still is magnetic!

On my weekly after work caching trip I stopped past this area for two caches, but I only managed one. I was a bit surprised to see people in a van right on the shore fishing. oh well, some rules only apply to some people.

Thanks

Second DNF here. There was no-one else here to distract the search today, but even with the hint and a careful search I still could not find the cache.

Not doing well today Evil or Very MadSad. After failing to find the previous nano (still trying to find one for the challenge) I came here. I followed a car in, it parked and the woman got out and went and sat on the seat as I was heading for it. She pulled out her lunch. GEES Evil or Very Mad! Blow this I thought, and headed for the bench. I explained I was on a treasure hunt and began searching. I suspect she thought I was mad. Anyway I didn't find it - three DNFs in a row - but with this one she was rather distracting sitting on the bench.

Grabbed this one this morning for my daily before heading out of town for some more caching.

Easy find between a few muggles.

Last GCA find today. I groaned as I got to GZ, but knowing what to look for, it was found relatively quickly

TIL the case isn't magnetic, but a small magnet inside is. It fell out. Ah crap. Found and put back in place

ok, so I was crazy enough to come for a Sunrise paddle in my kayak, on a -6°C morning... 11am and it is still cold... but the lake is still quite calm so I figured I may as well cone and grab a cache or 2 (have found all the GC ones but kept forgetting to check for GCA... lol... have the app now, so it is now easy Smile
TFTC - nice spot... something (water rat i think) swam out to Spinnaker Island while I was signing the log, and a nice bird came to say hi Smile

Had me looking for a while before eventually spotting it. Seems to be sticking well. A pleasant view of the lake here. Thanks.

#GA1746 - 13:50; Second time lucky on this visit as I managed to collect the cache on my way home from the blood bank today. No canoodling at GZ this time, so I was able to make a quick find on the cleverly concealed cache. Another great location to visit. TFTC Agent Basil Very HappyClan Cerberus

A bit early in our ride for a rest but a stop to grab this cache was definitely in order. Signed B2 due to the tiny log sheet. Could not get it to stick when returning it and after a bit of scratching around found the magnet on the ground. Future finders may need to be aware that the magnet is no longer attached.
Thanks.

GCA 1307 - 14357. Dashed out at lunchtime today to grab a cache.

This was a nice and easy find - despite the police car parked further along in the car park !

Another neat little spot to sit and watch the world, and rowers, go by. Sat and enjoyed the serenity of the area before needing to head off for a few more finds.

Thanks AB......really, another pleasant spot to park ones backside for a little while. Very HappyVery Happy

Found on an early morning cache run to pick up some caches for the SSS. Easy find in a beaut location. I used to enjoy sailing past here out to Spinnaker Island. TFTC

Black Bunny decided to grab a cache or two on the way home today and this was one of them. An easy grab and a better choice of pen.

Thanks for the cache Basil.

After grabbing the nearby cache we decided to have a seat and enjoy the view. While here we grabbed this one to finish our little caching journey.
