Description

Regular sized container hidden in the bush at Nanango Qld.

The cache is not at the posted co ordinates and is not a place to park. The cache is hidden not that far away. This cache has been hidden as part of the 2016/2017 Scavenger summer games. You are seeking a regular sized container. At time of placement there were two pens included with the log but please bring your own writing implement in case they fail to work or disappear.  The puzzle is not that hard if you think about it. A good site to look at is   www.geocachingtoolbox.com. There is safe parking around the corner away from the sometimes very busy road.

Now for the Puzzle:-

And some small hints.

I was once small but am no more. Not very tall. Not October and secondly a Octupus apparently has how many. A form of Binary.

Good hunting.

2nd day of a 5 day trip around south-east Queensland with LuckyL10n and today we were in Nanango to grab a few more of the local offerings. All up my 3rd trip to this area, but there are few cachers to grab. We encountered wild weather in Brisbane yesterday, however today started with very little rain and no wind...thankfully.

As for the find, we pulled up close to GZ and set about making the find. A short walk and all was good. With our names in the log book we were back to the car and off for another couple before dark.

Thanks for another one Youngoldfella...

#GA3550 - 17:25; Day 2 of the South East Queensland tour with Sol de lune. Made it to Nanango late yesterday after getting belted by a storm later in the afternoon/early evening. Much to our relief the heavy rain seems to be moving on and it is only overcast and occasional light drizzle this morning. Spending today caching around Nanango and Kingaroy and hoping to clear a swag of GCA puzzles from the 'solved but unfound' list we have been compiling for the past couple of years. We were now underway and enjoying a variety of cache types and hides, some taking longer than other to make the find amongst the long grasses and having to make the right choice from the variety of possibilities available. Also enjoyed solving the puzzles, even though there was plenty of head scratching and later on forehead slapping along the way! Towards the end of the day we met the CO himself, who joined us for some geobanter as we collected some caches close to home. Really appreciate the effort that has gone into placing and maintaining the many caches in the area. TFTC youngoldfella Very HappyClan Cerberus
