Built in 1827, Rocky Hall is a substantial two storey Old Colonial Georgian style homestead overlooking Howes Creek.
Described as five bays in length and two rooms deep, it has a jerkin head roof with a sandstone chimney at each end. A deep skillion is at the rear of the house, there is a single storey verandah across the front of the house which also has a skillion roof, hipped at the ends.

Set out to get some of the GA's in the area, with much help from the CO's. Is that a surprise to anyone?!

Out with Outdoornut to bag a few mystery caches around our area, he did the brain work while I did the leg work today quite a few muggles around here today. This was a nice cache still in great condition after a few years of no finds. TFTC

Out hunting mystery caches with Sophoutloud today I spent a good couple of hours trying to figure out a whole bunch of puzzles some of you folk are very clever (and evil Laughing ) and there has been a lot of work put into these caches. once my brain started to hurt we headed off in search of the caches, most of these haven't seen people for over 2 years and we were pleasantly surprised that every one we searched for was present and in great condition. There were a few muggles around that lived in the close by properties so we had to wait a short while but once we got to the GZ the cache was in hand quickly. good hiding spot TFTC

Headed to this cache after the Christmas event at Ebenezer. Lots of bark around after the storms but eventually located the cache. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
#GA2309 - 16:35; When the States of the Nation game began, a plan was hatched for a group of ACT cachers to take a trip north to the Hawkesbury on a scavenger raid. As time passed the group's numbers dwindled, but with a bit of work solving puzzles and a few things rescheduled, our merry band comprising andrewbt, Sol de lune and I set off on a damp Canberra morning to try our hand. A recent visit to Canberra by cachers from this area provided an added incentive, so we could repay the karma points we gained from their visit. A successful day it turned out to be with 56 finds and only three DNFs. Another nice quick find as we reached the end of the road for this part of the mission. TFTC teamMerlin

Last one along this section of road and it was a quick find. Log was signed and it was back to another one to try some more numbers (which didn't work out that time...)
Thanks again TeamMerlin

Came NW for a bit of scavenging and found this buried well below lots of cover. Probably not surprising as the poor thing hasn't had a visitor for 11 months. All good though. Thanks teamMerlin.

I solved this a while ago in case I needed it and it's turned out to be very convenient for a T1 cache today. I can't even remember how I got the right co-ords but obviously correctly as I found the cache with only a moments distraction looking a metre or two away first.

Well today was a day of firsts;- First reverse geocache, First podcache, FTF on a touchable GA cache! First GA mystery!
I was driving out mainly to have a go at the reverse cache & gave Lucky1955 a ring to see if he wanted to come too. He did!
Lucky1955 had to go, so I did a few extra on my own. Nice quick find, was nearly led astray by a very tempting pile of rocks nearby.

Nice sneaky hide. Once the coordinates were seen we were able to make a short dive and find the cache.
A quick hide beneath natural camo.

Worked ther coordinates out for this one before I left home this afternoon got here in the drizzle and walked up the road as for some reason somebody had used the road as their parking space so no much room to get passed. Not far up the roasd and need the steps anyway. Got to GZ and the first spot I looked gave up the cache. Signed the log again as second to find. Thanks for the puzzle cache teamMerlin

My last cache for the day. I would liked to have stayed for more, but the rain was getting harder, and I did need to be home to finish up my list of chores. I'll be back, hopefully later in the week.
Because I had help with this one, I didn't claim the first to find spot at the top of the log. I left that for someone who earns it by doing the hard work.
Thanks
