Description
On a morning jog a year ago when on holidays in the Isa I came across this track leading up one of the hills surrounding the city. Make sure you bring your camera as the views over the Mount Isa and also to the East away from the City are impressive. You can continue further up the hill to see the Trig point as well (Mount Isa - Townview)
This cache was placed during the 2016-2017 Summer Scavenger Hunt Competition to satisfy the Micro size criteria

Geocaching Australia (GCA) Cache Find Number 1459. Found during Day 16 of my epic 21 day visit to Alice Springs for the Red Centre Experience Event and further travels after that.
Flew into Alice Springs and met up with my fellow intrepid team members Sol de Lune, Albida33 and LuckyL10n for the start of an amazing trip throughout the Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales and eventually back to Canberra. The Red Centre Experience is the main attraction of course, but also on our agenda are a lot of GC Caches, lots of trigs, as well as plenty of GCA Trads, History and Virtual Caches (and maybe the odd beer or two ??!! Smile. Go Clan Cerberus !
Another Trad for the trip while heading south and east. We stopped here to look around and grab some caches. Lots of piccies taken. Then it was back in the car and off to the next one !
Another great location visited during our journey - even if it was a bit of a climb !

#GA1591 - 10:15; Day 26 of the Alice Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune, albida33 and fitzy_1965. After our first night in Queensland, it was time to add to our cache finds around Mt Isa, before heading to Mary Kathleen, Cloncurry, McKinley and on to Winton for the night. Got our cardiac workout for the day making our way up the hill from the gate for this and another cache as well as the trig nearby. Yet another location from which to take in some of the views over the city and the mine. TFTC MalDawg

on our way to the Alice Springs Geocaching event and staying overnight in Mt Isa. Along with Tassie Trekkers we made our way to GZ. Found the cache easily. a blank log sheet. Joint **FTF** with Tassie Trekkers. TFTC
Staying in Mt Isa overnight as we continue our journey to Alice Springs.
Accurate co ordinates led to a quick find - as the log sheet was blank we will claim joint [*FTF*] @ 14.55hrs with Gullivers Travels54
