thanks to outdoornut22 for doing the brain work on this one and finding the ordinates for this one. It took us to a spot along the road to a random spot that didn't seam all that good a spot for a geocache....... hm..... after reading a couple of previous logs we happened to look to the other side of the road to find a likely spot for it! yes that better and a sneaky hide. it was simple enough find and sign after all.

Out to find a few caches we had on our list for a while. In between storms and showers we ducked out to have a look for this one. had a bit of trouble and ended stopping on the roadside and was looking on the wrong side of the road. Not sure if this was the fault of the coordinates or my GPS. after a bit of searching I checked out some of the previous logs and looked up to see what they were talking about, a bit of a short scramble later we were up next to the GZ. good spot for a hide. cache is in good condition. tftc

#GA2338 - 12:15; Day two of the Macquarie mayhem cache hunt with Sol de lune and andrewbt. After a big day one with 56 out 59 finds, we were optimistic about another successful day two. A few cold ones, a few logs and a few more claims for the States of the Nation game set the scene for a good night's sleep and a spring in our step as we packed up and hit the trail again today. Hope the CO's are enjoying all the Karma points rolling in as we get through our logs . Watched on as abt retrieved the cache and signed the log on behalf of all team members. TFTC teamMerlin

Parked nearby and watched as AndrewBT went up for this one...no point all of us getting in each others way. No problem and the cache was soon in hand.
Thanks TeamMerlin....cool location.

Finally crossing off one of the target puzzles! Found in great condition but from the wrong approach Lucky it is not too hot today as I'm already sweating up a storm. Not sure how Santa would go here! Cheers!

Nice to collect some long solved puzzles on this hot afternoon before the New Year event at winery. Parked at a familiar spot and made my to GZ on foot. Never noticed the good hiding spots here and enjoyed the short scramble.

I made a mess of this one. Firstly from the wrong side of the road and then from the wrong altitude. What do they say about poor planning? Thanks again teamMerlin.

Blossom showed us where to find this one. Up we went, nice and slow. Great team effort.

I'd solved this one a while ago but hadn't needed it for any of the scavenges. Very convenient today as it will suit a T3 very nicely

Out for a little tour of the area for four mysteries. This was the fourth find of the morning.
This time I took a different approach and managed to scramble down to the required level. My previous visits I was below where I needed to be.

With a little hint and the hidden location of Sanata's retreat was located with the needed coordinates for this cache.
Had a spare afternoon so headed out to grab a few more caches to the Summer Scavenger hunt.
Parking the car made the short distant along a track then headed towards GZ.
Approaching GZ from below was able to make a very quick find of the hidden retreat. Santa was not in so we signed the log and enjoyed the view.
Returned the log and headed home after a very restful stay.

While looking at some of the new caches in the area had an idea of shat I needed to solve this one and I was correct. But while I was nearby bumped into the CO who thinking of my damaged knee & considering the scratches I got from his other cache he decided to come with me for this one. Got to GZ and it was a quick find. Signed the log and replaced as found thanks for the mystery teamMerlin.
Good view from GZ
