Description

Let the reindeer games begin.....!

This mystery cache IS NOT at the posted coordinates.  To find GZ you will need to answer a few questions about Santa's reindeer.  There is a song which gets quite a bit of airplay at this time of the year about a particular reindeer.  Could it be thathat this reindeer was a result of an early attempt at genetic engineering?  I don't think so!  I think the message we should take from the song is that we are all different in our own way and we all have something to contribute.  I guess that's one of the great things about caching, there is something for everyone.

Now on to the puzzle.  GZ can be found at S35 1A.BD(F-B-A)   E149 AF.(B+E)(D+E)(A+C+D+E), where:

A = The number of reindeer whose names begin with A.
B = The number of reindeer whose names begin with B.
C = The number of reindeer whose names begin with C.
D = The number of reindeer whose names begin with D.
E = The number of reindeer whose names begin with letters other than A, B, C or D.
F = The total number of reindeer mentioned in the song.

Now get out there and jingle those bells!  Oh, wait, that's the wrong song.  You know what I mean though.  Don't you?

And don't forget to check your calculations on the Coords Checker.

After a few hours at home with Pa, I was back out to see if I could clean up most of the caches out here. This afternoon I again upset numerous roos during their evening meal but saw loads of beautiful birds - kookaburras, magpies, eastern rosellas and noisy miners. The highlight of the afternoon session however was finding all the caches that I was after today - except that I have just realised that I didn't. I missed even looking for one. I will have to go back Friday afternoon. Sorry!. TFTC LuckyL10n SL Very HappyVery HappyClan CerberusClan CerberusClan Cerberus

On a morning caching around Gungahlin I managed to squeeze in a few GA caches as well. I went for a short walk in the grasslands and found this cache along with a few others. Lots more to do.

Thanks

GCA 1723. Found on an after work meander with minniek.

Wrapped up the working week then picked up minniek for another short walk in the Goo for a cache. Interesting to see the last finders were school children as per the logbook ! All good with the cache.

TFTC LL !

With my caching being all at sea over the last couple of weeks, it was good to get out and find a few more caches for the SSS games. Worked out this one this morning, along with a few others, and hen headed out to make the finds....

There were that many reindeer.....oops, shows how much I remembered from my childhood. Another walk past a cache of mine and a little further to help lose that Christmas pudding. Arrived to GZ to find a very familiar style of container....good to see someone else cleaning up. Log signed, cache replaced and all was good...

Thanks LL.....neat little puzzle.

Found on a lovely morning around Gungahlin on a GC/GCA mission. This was a very fun puzzle to solve - to be honest I had to research all the answers though! After a reasonably short walk to GZ through the bush, the cache was quickly found - nicely sized container! TNLNSL. TFTC LuckyL10n - these caches of yours will be good tools that will allow Cerberus to take over! Clan Cerberus

Out burning off some Xmas / New Year tucker and this was on the list. I still think Olive should have got a run and I could've done without those grass seeds.

another FTF! a short walk from a previous FTF and a very large cache was found! I'm not sure what sort of engineering you're thinking off doing to a poor old reindeer!?
