Description
The Gardens Lookout
Go to Waypoint One. Look out and around then head straight up the path to waypoint two, where a magnetic cache will be found.
Even though this is a multicache, you are not provided coordinates to the second waypoint. You just have to look around and decide where it should be and go from there. If you're really stuck, look at the information sign.

Beautiful clear, sunny, calm winter's afternoon after a hum dinger of a frost this morning. Tracked this cache to WP2, and had it in hand quickly enough ..........or at least the remnants of a mint tin which, is about to crumble into bits of rust. Log still dry, and we double bagged it to keep it going a bit longer. As this is a RobTas (R.I.P.) cache it would be nice if the next cacher could come with a new container (doesn't need to be magnetic) as it deserves to survive for years to come.

Parked in the car park and walked to wp1 observing the sign I made my way to wp2 where I had to wait for several muggles to move on so I could search for the cache.
I had just signed and replaced the cache as the next lot walked up to the lookout. TFTC

A day off and decided to escape to NE Tasmania and then on to my parents to catch up with them after returning from the mainland
I came to this location looking for an earth cache and decided I should check for GCA caches and found three to find

Thanks for the cache robtas. First physical find for the morning (after the nearby trig), found with AlbyDangles and Lil Rafa.
After a big day yesterday geocaching in and around Swansea, then up to St Helens for more caching by moonlight; and an overnight stay.
Glad we have this lovely part of the world to ourselves this morning.
Bit of a search, but distracted by the views - certainly yet another "... if not for geocaching " moment.
Thanks for bringing me here - how good is Tassie?!

Thanks for the multicache Robtas.
Found with EeePees and Albydangles during a little weekend visit to the East Coast. I have never been to The Gardens before - absolutely gorgeous. After checking out WP1 we made our way to GZ. EeePees came up with the goods and we added our names to the log.

I was here with stainless steel rat and 1toolman a couple of years ago and thought I had done all the caches up here. Wrong! The problem is I didn't realise until I got home.
Finally back today with the family and after waiting out a family at GZ (in the rain) we finally were able to retrieve and log it. TFTC Robtas

3 night stay in St Helens with my craft friends.....well I could say more of a get away as Caching takes place as well. Had a
day out exploring on my own for the day. Was happy with 18GC & 2GCA Finds & 1 DNF for the day and lots seen I was happy with the out come.
No one around so was able to find this one with out to much trouble.
Cache in good order, put it in a zip lock bag

My second try at this one. I didn’t understand this first time I came here but with more experience it was a walk in the garden! However at GZ extracting the cache proved difficult and some muggles wanted to know if I had lost something just as l retrieved the rusty mint tin. Yes - this is what I was looking for!! Oh! Was their reply - I don’t think they realised the significance of the “find” . I waited till they were gone and replaced the cache. TFTC

A quick find once the area was clear of muggles.
Did have to wait on the track for a snake to cross as we headed to this one.
Thanks.

Headed out to the Gardens this evening to find a couple of caches.
Was easy enough to find, but I had to wait for the Asian tourists to clear out before I could retrieve the container and sign the log.

Hi CraigRat
After arriving in St Helens Monday and spending the night at Killraine Units the plan today was to find caches in the Gardens area.
Yesterday, most caches were found in the Welborough, Moorina, Lottah and Goulds Country areas. That round trip consisted of driving 160 kilometres and finding a total of 12 caches which required walking some 13.25km using a total of 17842 steps and burning a total of 1859 calories. Today your cache, this one is first on the agenda.
WEATHER:
Day 1: Fine but overcast
Day 2: After the rain and hail in St Helens last night, I was totally surprised to have a bright, sunny day for the entire day's caching. Temperature got to about 16 or 18 degrees. Great day!
Day 3: Today; overcast and about 12 degrees - raining on and off this afternoon. Consequently, caching ceased after finding the two caches at The Gardens.
Following breakfast at the St Helens bakery, a spot of shopping and filling the cache mobile with petrol; we drove to the given co-ordinates at the Gardens (Bay of Fires.)
As I approached GZ, it was easy to decipher which way we had to walk. Prior to starting that walk, the view was admired once again as we have been here many times. No matter how many times you visit; the view is always breath taking.
A short walk was enjoyed and at GZ, the area was muggle free. A quick perusal of the surrounds and the hide was quickly determined. That location was approached and the cache found as suspected. A quick retrieval was made, the log was signed and the cache Sainted 1215hrs. Replaced as found, the cache is in good condition and so is the log. A magnificent little spot. We stood there a little longer admiring the great views. More exploration was required and enjoyed. Many photographs taken.
From here, my next find, I hope will be "Bay of Fires." Just a short walk required to get from this cache to that.
Now both caches have been collected; the walk around this area comprised 2.36 kilometres requiring 3050 steps and burning 1142 calories.
Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience of coming to this cache. We love this area. Thank you.
The pigs kept on the nearby farm captured a lot of attention from many of the tourists, especially as they crossed the road as people were leaving. A real porker, SORRY, I mean corker.
At caching days end back in St Helens, logging caches and resting before going to dinner taken at the pub.
TFTC and cheers

Today was another one of those days that we needed a dragon zone cache find to reduce the number of days on which we need to find dragon zone caches to reduce the number needed to qualify for the Vernal Equinox Horologist Mission. Where to go? We have several unfound caches near by that qualify but do we use one of these or travel further a field and look for something else thus keeping the close by ones for emergencies.
As the weather on the north west coast was forecast to be cold, wet and maybe snowy we decided to head for a drier spot on the north east coast. This cache had been on or list since it had been published during the Summer Games in December last year. Since then it has been logged twice, the last time in February this year - six months ago.
After a longish but uneventful trip we arrived at The Gardens Reserve in bright sunshine - such a pretty part of Tasmania. Once at the posted coordinates we soon worked out the next port of call where, sure enough, after a careful search we found the well hidden container. Cache and contents were in excellent condition. Then it was back to the warmth of the car as, although the skies were clear the wind was cutting - snow around somewhere.
Thanks for this multi cache with a difference Robtas. It is certainly worth a recommendation for the well planned cache and the area.

Always a nice spot to visit and a bonus today with a [*FTF*] @ 11.55 hrs.
Just followed the path and soon identified GZ resulting in a quick find.
Thanks robtas for the cache.
