Description

J & J's forty-seventh geocache hide. A large geocache containing stubby holders as swaps.

The geocache is not at the listed coordinates, however this is a good place to park your car.

Walking around Scott Creek Conservation Park is thirsty work, and while this cache can't offer you a nice cold beer, it can supply you with something to keep a beer cold.

In the same vein as SA_Parrothead's 'Dont be a mug', 'Cap this off' and 'Suck on this', we are proud to offer geocachers a chance to swap an unwanted stubby holder of their own, for one in this large sized cache.

To find the true location of the geocache, you will have to do a little research into Mr J's favourite beer, Southwark Bitter.

You can learn about the history of Southwark Bitter here --> LINK,  and also find the answers to the following questions.

The year that Nathan Bitter was first brewed was 1ABC

WB Lager was put out in the early 1DEF's

Southwark Bitter earned the nickname Green Death in the 1GHJ's

The IBU bitterness rating of Southwark Bitter is KL

The geocache can be found at:

S35° 04. D H L

E138° 39. (A-B) (G-H) L

 Coordinate Checker

At the calculated position you will find a 20 litre plastic bucket painted in cammo colours. It contains a variety of different stubby holders, as well as the usual log book, pen, stash note and dessicant.

Remember folks, beer is not the answer. Beer is the question, "Yes" is the answer.

Happy hunting!

Found It!
A nice little puzzle and then a quick find at GZ today. National Parks have found the cache, saved it from a fire and then wrote about their visit in the book!

Nice little puzzle. Learnt something today.
Was in the area for a GC cache and spotted this so solved it on the side of the road and made my to gz nearby.
Was apprehensive on approach as it looked like a scrub fire may have claimed a victim but i recon this was placed post fire.
What a huge cache. A legit large Smile
Big points from me. Well done.

I used to drive along this stretch of road daily to and from work but this is the first time in a couple of years that I've had reason to revisit. I can remember when this was someone's yard and there was a house less than 100m from GZ. You wouldn't knowit now thanks to the revegetation. It was that good that I found myself walking around in circles trying to avoid prickle bushes for far longer than it should have taken me to spot a 20L bucket Embarassed
But I got there eventually, found the cache, signed the log then headed off to get a coldie to celebrate my days efforts
Cheers & TFTC J&J

In our planning for our current trip to Adelaide we saw many GCA caches had been published in the area near where we were staying. We enjoyed the research for this puzzle. Today we went to look for the cache. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. As there are no other logs, we will claim FTF at 16:50. Thanks J_&_J for an interesting puzzle and for the cache.
