this would be the 1st one of these caches completed of this type on the dragon zone points system and the Geocaching Australia site. So yes, I’m a very happy person today. Since its been very hot the last couple of days and also today I did an early morning cache run to try to miss the extreme heat.
Also, today I wanted to find this cache for the Journey or Destination - Game Period: 01-Dec-2018 00:00:00 to 31-Jan-2019 23:59:59 AEST
It is sometimes said [citation needed] that the game of geocaching is not about the destination it is about the journey. This game is about the choices you make in the experience of the journey or the destination.
On your entry to the game you will be asked to create a playing field with a number of ground tiles. Your playing field is a grid 20 x 20 ground tiles making a total number of 400 possible steps you can take on your journey or destination. You choose whether you want to find and follow the path or whether you wanted to meander around. A playing field is unique to each player so there is no benefit in teaming up to beat the system through brute force.
For each qualifying geocache that you hide or find during the game period you will be offered the opportunity to click on a ground tile and reveal what lies beneath. There are a number of different ground tiles that will be revealed when you click on your playing field. It should be noted that there are no punishments for clicking a tile but there will not always be the reward you were hoping for as you reveal each tile.
So yes many firsts today – thanks - TFTC / TFTH / SL Clan Griffin

Found today with Wayward Woman. I came few weeks ago and had a look but was worried about wiggly things as it was such a hot day - didnt want to poke around. Back today with WaywardWoman heading to a Signal the Frog Australia Day weekend event at Tizzana and we did a short detour to GZ. Still a hot day, but while I was still heading there WW had already found it! Signed log and returned as found. TFTC

Enjoy finding these Podcaches and this one was no different. Soon had the GZ co-ords sorted and the cache was soon in hand.

Thanks TeamMerlin.....we think another trip up this might be required. Recommended

#GA2302 - 15:30; When the States of the Nation game began, a plan was hatched for a group of ACT cachers to take a trip north to the Hawkesbury on a scavenger raid. As time passed the group's numbers dwindled, but with a bit of work solving puzzles and a few things rescheduled, our merry band comprising andrewbt, Sol de lune and I set off on a damp Canberra morning to try our hand. A recent visit to Canberra by cachers from this area provided an added incentive, so we could repay the karma points we gained from their visit. A successful day it turned out to be with 56 finds and only three DNFs. Nice to add another podcache to the found list. TFTC teamMerlin Very HappyClan Cerberus

A big day around Sackville collecting 6xGC and 18xGCA caches.
Plenty of options to search around GZ. Thankfully a much quicker find than my effort with the reverse cache.

The first trick with this was working out that the two lots of coordinates on SoundCloud weren't the same but related to two different caches. The next trick, which I fumbled, was getting the right numbers into the GPS download. It's a pity GCA doesn't support private "corrected coordinates" like GC. Anyways, with my error corrected in the field, I got to GZ and started searching. It was 36º by now so I didn't want to waste time. Found a snake skin first. Ominous and cautious about reaching blindly into dark holes. Then found the cache easily, from a different approach. Thanks teamMerlin.

Took a while to get the coordinates from the sound bite & another source but got there in the end. This was the second time I had been here looking for the cache. Found this morning while in the area. Didn't pick it up when I was out in the area the previous time. It was getting late and the drizzle was getting heavier. Today was hotter & drier an a find in the second place I looked. Thanks for the podcache teamMerlin

Well today was a day of firsts;- First reverse geocache, First podcache, FTF on a touchable GA cache!

I was driving out mainly to have a go at the reverse cache & gave Lucky1955 a ring to see if he wanted to come too. He did!

Nice & easy to get the coords & a nice quick find on a hot day.

Out with Celtical for an afternoon of caching in Ebenezer, primary reason was the new reverse cache. at GZ for this cache was another check point for the reverse cache as we toured the area.

Something new! We spent some time climbing over the rocks. I even sent a message to phlphotos, but when we finally found it, his name was not on the log! TFTC. Good fun and, like I said, something new.

My third for today's summer scavenger hunt run, and my first podcache. This trip was a spontaneous decision today when I got tired of doing laundry, and I just sent a few GCA caches to my GPS. Glad I took the time to notice that this one was a little different and to get the details needed.

Thanks Very Happy

This was a much easier podcache to work out than the last.
Now as I listened to Alice and and then had coordinates in hand.
Made my way to collect this cache while out running a few earns.
Got FTF @ 11:50am. Another piece towards the Summer Scavenger hunt
