Description

2016/17 Summer Scavenger Series cache

The cache is not at the published coordinates.

As 2016 draws to a close we are left with memories and often reflect upon items that influenced our lives. One major influence of our mood is music and 2016, like years prior, was full of songs released by various artists. Some individuals would say that Just Like Fire would be a given to make any top 100 list, but others may be of the opinion that Love Yourself and We Don't Talk Anymore are also a given.

Depending on who you talk to, there appears to two trains of thought on this subject. On the one side these three songs are a must to be listed:

  1. The Hills
  2. I Know What You Did Last Summer
  3. Don't Let Me Down

Yet, on the side of the fence, these three songs are a must:

  1. We Don't Talk Anymore
  2. Can't Stop The Feeling!
  3. Adventure Of A Lifetime

Once you have determined the location of GZ, you will be looking for a regular sized sistema container. In your log, mention what your favourite song from 2016.

#GA2292 - 14:30; When the States of the Nation game began, a plan was hatched for a group of ACT cachers to take a trip north to the Hawkesbury on a scavenger raid. As time passed the group's numbers dwindled, but with a bit of work solving puzzles and a few things rescheduled, our merry band comprising andrewbt, Sol de lune and I set off on a damp Canberra morning to try our hand. A recent visit to Canberra by cachers from this area provided an added incentive, so we could repay the karma points we gained from their visit. A successful day it turned out to be with 56 finds and only three DNFs. A fun puzzle and a happy ending when we found the cache and signed the log. TFTC teamMerlin Very HappyClan Cerberus

My First find of the year/month/week/day. It took a bit of research to get a matching number, but with one found the rest sang along. Thanks teamMerlin.

Solved this puzzle a while ago but didn't get out this way to find it, then lost the paperwork or can't find it at present. So in the end found the details & solved it again. So out here decided to pick this one up. Drove passed GZ so had to walk back. The cache was easy to find as in the last 7 months the cover had moved and the container was in the open. Signed the log and replaced with cover. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for the puzzle teamMerlin

With a little assistance to determine the correct list the GZ was soon with in hand.
Thanks Team Merlin for making another mystery for the Summer Scavenger.

Nice quick find with cache in hand signed the log and returned as found.

Finally found the right chart and not long after had working coordinates to GZ. Wasn't prepared to go out in the 45C heat yesterday. Whilst still quite warm at 34C today I paid a visit to GZ and signed the log

I was pleased with myself solving this one but had a bit of a glitch when my solution came out of the co-ord checker as wrong! No problem, all sorted and I headed off to find it. Thanks teamMerlin, it turns out I needed a D3 before tonight and this was perfect Mr. Green
