Set out to get some of the GA's in the area, with much help from the CO's. Is that a surprise to anyone?!

#GA2275 - 12:10; When the States of the Nation game began, a plan was hatched for a group of ACT cachers to take a trip north to the Hawkesbury on a scavenger raid. As time passed the group's numbers dwindled, but with a bit of work solving puzzles and a few things rescheduled, our merry band comprising andrewbt, Sol de lune and I set off on a damp Canberra morning to try our hand. A recent visit to Canberra by cachers from this area provided an added incentive, so we could repay the karma points we gained from their visit. A successful day it turned out to be with 56 finds and only three DNFs. Solving the puzzle took a bit of work, but once we closed in on GZ, the cache was quickly spotted as it seems the plant life has declined perhaps due to some spraying in the area. A local took some interest in our arrival but was happy enough when we said we were looking for a geocache. TFTC phlphotos Very HappyClan Cerberus

Next stop on the 2 day trip around the area with AndrewBT and LuckyL10n...

AndrewBT did the leg work on this, including a bit of correspondence with the CO. Things worked out ok and today was the day to pick up the prize. Once at GZ, one of the locals asked what we were doing, but content with our response, she let us be. Cache was found without issue and the log was soon signed. (I think the weeding around the area may have a help...maybe.)

Thanks for puzzle and neat walk to GZ Phlphotos....

With a lot of help from CO, finally cracked this one!

Arriving at GZ, and one of the residents wanted to know what we were doing! We told her, content with the expaination, she left us alone

Finally I have signed the log. I have been puzzling away at this for some time and kept getting no where. Last weekend on a meeting with the CO and subsequent phone call the error of my way was stumbled upon. Taking the right first step things became a little clearer but still required some time to piece the information together.
When I had pieced this info together there was yet another layer to solve as the coordinates were presented in UTM and I changed a setting in my GPSr to get to GZ.
This afternoon I made to it to GZ and for the last hurdle to claim the prize was to negotiate the wall of 'farmers friends' that created a Guardian wall to the cache hide.

Tagged along for this mystery with Team Merlin. Out for a caching run to claim a few caches in the area.
With GZ in hand a nice quick find.

Starting unraveling the mystery of the platypus several days ago and at the third layer was thwarted with the array of options. Even noticing certain things, the penny didn't dropped until meeting up with the CO at a recent event. So with the required information in hand we headed out to GZ this morning with JJCC and made a nice quick find...we even spotted the elusive flat nosed platypus. Well played phlphotos for a puzzling mystery.
