Description
This locationless is for creative logs.
Not the kind hidden in the woods and under bridges, but the kind you find on your hidden geocaches pages - internet or paper. It's for those logs, found or unfound, that make you smile and say, this is why i hide geocaches. It's for those logs that show the geocacher took the time and effort to write about their adventure creatively. Or they are just blessed with the ability that it just pours out with ease into their log when they enter it. Logs shared here can be from either GC or GCA. Logs shared must be from your own Geocaching hides - physical, not locationless and virtual. Logs shared are not for, "this person wrote more than TFTC" - don't share an average log just to get a "find". Your entry here does not need to be creative, but if you can - please do! Copy and paste a creative log in your log, putting their log in inverted commas or making it a different color. Add a short (or long if you desire) description of why you chose this log. You can claim this more than once and without waiting for other claims before your next one.

"Skippy 46 came over my house yesterday for a coffee and while she was there i came up with the idea we should head out today and get the 3 gnome hunter caches we still havent found....Sometimes i wish she would tell me my ideas are stupid and we,re not doing it but she agreed so today we headed out with the forecast of 26 degrees and we were hoping we wouldnt come across any snakes as we have both encountered them in the last couple of days. I thought i had this all planned out so i parked the car close to ant trail 1 so we could walk down a nice flat track.. After finding Gnome hunter Jacobscrew we saw that this cache was 459 metres away AS THE CROW FLYS and at this stage i was wishing i was a crow because the only way we could work out to get to this cache was to climb all the way to the bottom and then all the way back up the top on the other side. It was also at this stage we are thinking maybe we are doing this the hard way because this ISNT a terrain of 3 its more like a 5...But we started going down with skippy 46 in front and we get to a very steep drop and skippy 46 says i think we should slide down this steep flat rock on our backsides and i will go first you just keep hold of the back of my backpack whilst i get started. She decides to unclip the bottom of her backpack and left the top clip done up around her chest and started to move with me hanging onto her back pack with one hand and then she lost her footing and slipped...This wasnt good as now her back pack with the clip done up is around her neck while im still trying to keep hold of her. With a bit of a struggle she got the clip undone but at the same time i somehow let go of her and she fell but luckilly it wasnt a long drop. After all this we continued to the bottom and i must say it took us ages and we were stuffed once we got there...We were actually so stuffed we were having these bad thoughts of maybe we could make out we lost the pen and couldnt sign the log and then we wouldnt have to climb up this hill that looks like Mount Everest but no we couldnt do it so up we went. This climb took forever...We actually left Jacobscrew at 10am and we didnt get to this cache till 12.20pm. Once we signed the log it was all downhill again except now we were just about out of water and as that damn crow flies it was 1.2km to the ant trail 1. All i kept thinking is WHY are we doing this as we are going down and down till we got to a track. We werent sure at first if this track took us back to where we needed to be but it was all up hill so off we went and then skippy 46 heard running water so she filled our water bottles up in the stream, soaked her feet for 5 minutes and it was back to the uphill walk again. I think it was 2.20pm when we finally got back to the airconditioned car. I did say to skippy 46 that it makes a change i didnt have any falls today but then i realized i had spent more time crawling on my hands and knees or sliding on my backside HAHA... I think im now saying this because im worn out and delirious, im giving you another favourite point for all the effort you put in to putting these caches out TFTC firnsy".
Thanks No Tomorrow for the cache and for prompting me once again to reread some of the great logs written by Gnome Hunters.
The cache requires you to open a dozen Kinder Surprise eggs to locate the log.
This is the FTF log by dalerious:
Who'd eggspect this eggceptional eggsample of an eggspertly eggspressed eggshibit not to be eggstracted eggstremely early❓
It was getting late in the caching day
But I figured I had time to tackle one of the Railton Multis.
This one sounded entertaining,
so off I wandered to view some of Muriel's artworks
The numbers were assembled,
analysed ...
... and figured out that I needed to get closer to the last muriel to find some actual numbers,
rather than guessing a couple
It was Sunday,
but late 'nuff that the place was devoid of the living
One last number found,
and voila !!!
A cache found nearby
Thanks for an entertaining multi-cache
Fave dance time,
because of the elephants mostly
You just don't expect them to race down a small Tassie town street !!
Or see one wandering through an Adelaide, suburban shopping arcade,
which happened to me once when I was 'bout 12ish !!
You don't forget elephant encounters at any age
Thanks If for the log and thanks no_tomorrow for the cache.
"Found with Leega, Folssee & the Geodog. Folssee decided to climb the tree so the ever ready Geodog thought he would give it a shot. Got about 10 feet up the tree and then proved the theory of what goes up must come down. Thought we were about to have a Geocaching injury but he bounced up and on to the next one. TFTC jinta29"
I then had the thought to put out one final cache, called...."50 Must See Logbooks" Cache number is GC6DYA8 and it contains all 50 of the logbooks from the series. I've have some positive and creative logs for this cache.....and reading them (again) brings backs memories of the series....and also makes me think that the time and effort to place the initial series was worth it.
Some of the logs from the tribute cache are:
"24/3 @1130..ish . After some morning duties and trying to hunt down the lost GPS it was decided this might be a nice one to do and a very fitting tribute to one of the first Powertrails we did in Canberra...seeing all those logbooks together really highlights the effort it takes to execute a series like this. The cache was spotted on approach and quickly extracted to have a look inside ...wow!
Anyway for a bit of fun I tipped the logbooks out and flipped through them all and played the "find our name game".
Stamped the logbook and then went to have a closer look at the new bridge construction, this area is definitely transforming.
Thanks SDL, think this is a fitting conclusion to that wonderful series!"
"Found on a lovely evening following a drive to the Cotter.
I still remember the day we did the powertrial, oh how I thought all those caches would live on.
The idea of this tribute cache is fantastic and I hope if future powertrials ever retire, their owners will follow in these footsteps.
TFTC SdL!"
"Ahhh, fond memories of the series for a couple of reasons. Did it the day after I took my VR so my head was in all sorts of funny places. And I also think I was the first NOT to cut and paste 50 boring logs. I crafted 50 individual boring logs."
"This was fun. We opened the large container and delved right in! Our names were in all the logs books (ok.....we didn't check them all )
What a good way of giving the logs books a new life, especially when some government just rolls those bulldozers in and creates a new suburb over a perfectly good cache series.
Nice one Sol de lune, Thanks"
Thanks No_Tomorrow, its always great to read logs that show people appreciate what you do. Beats the crap out of 'TFTC'
Thanks for the locationless.....
"haha Firnsy, thanks for this 3 terrain that we managed to turn into a 12!!!
We literally spent only 5% of our time upright getting to this cache.
By this stage I didn't care if I saw a snake, I had one thing in mind and that was to just finish, after all I am a Gnome Hunter
We crawled, we crabbed, we crawled, we slipped, we crawled, we slid on our butts and we crawled on and on.
I was strangled, had my hand squashed between a pointy rock and ooh yehs foot, had ooh yehs butt balanced on my head as I helped shove her up more rocky outcrops, to name just a few of our "favourite" moments.
And so nearly 2 and half hours later we completed the 450m to this cache.
Evil thoughts crossed someone's mind along the way but a true hunter does not listen to such evil talk
The logged was signed, we rested, then we saw smoke coming from behind us, so we left to find our way back down.
By this stage we had no water left and with the risk of dehydrating before we got back to the car, managed to find a small "clearing" to the running stream/creek. Filled our water bottles up and then made the horrendous journey up up up up up the neverending track of hell.
Sorry about the long entry logged but this is seriously the extremely shortened down version of what happened to us out there.
Awarding a favourite point for your toughness in placing the caches and for our toughness/stupidity in attempting them.
Please don't rush to place out any more
TFTH TFTC's firnsy
p.s OOH YEH never had a nice word to say about you"
My cache is GC5CB91 "A Concentric Cache;" a puzzle cache
If you care to view the cache page, you will realise why this is such a creative log by Tardis after his find:
"Tardis
The novel nature of this conundrum had the puzzle junkie of our duo running round in circles (mostly of a loopy concentric nature) for quite some time. For a while he was locked into running on an infinite loop around a twisted mobius strip, arriving at his point of departure still clueless & apparently without deviating an inch from his chosen path. He chucked a few random darts at the board but they did nothing to reveal any target. Eventually though the stop & go lights revealed their hidden secret and Evince concurred. Though this was only half the story. Once at GZ the real challenge began. The hint helped us not one whit, other than taunting us to keep looking that is! The needle in the haystack was found surprisingly quickly - well, at least we didn't need to send out for tucker or pitch our tent. Our finest tweezers were carefully utilised for extraction. Thanks for the fun OldSaint; worth a fav point for puzzle & hide."
TFTC and cheers
OldSaint
It involves a dozen DNFs... CO checking on it multiple times.. a cacher hiding to try catch the CO checking on it - many people hanging around a mall carpark in the middle of the night.
Culminating in visits by Mall Security, and finally a stop by the police!
AND THEN the cache was found!!
I assume they're a duo as I've never met them.
Each log they take time to really reflect on their finds.
Plenty of dry humor and wit.
This is just one from 'Archie B1 & B2' on cache GC6E96W

No more.
That is for ratbags.
My friend has a big EWP.
That is a cherry picker and in short it can reach the sky.
After druving all over Victoria the bearings gave a good indication where to look for treasure. And, he wants to test it out and this spot was chosen. Rodney lives in Kinglake.
So beep, beep, beep as he backs up to the.........
The outriggers are deployed, in the basket and up we go. How easy is this.
In a previous job this banana had to test EWP for safety and they needed to be tested to their limit. All seemed OK when the 22 meter boom was extended to full height. Not being used to heights had the obvious effect during the next several minutes as it swayed in the wind.
The boss watched and then called me down and made it very clear that "When you are up there everyone can see you, don't be scared, just act professional."
Was I scared.
You bet I was.
But today with the boom not quite reaching full extention the treasure was found with both feet firmly on the elevated work platform.
How easy was that.
No expensive purchase.
Just a mate and his toy.
It worked so well the bananas are trying to get him to help out on a few others by offering a small incentive.
Only problem
He likes his beer.

007 – A Licence to Cache.
Well, after failing twice on this cache and having (Dr.) No luck, we were tempted to never come back. We were shaken, not stirred though. But I guess you should Never Say Never Again, so we had to come back for one last assault. With some fresh intel from M, we headed back down in the Aston Martin.
Passing muggles kept scaring The Living Daylights out of us, but we found a gap to hunt. We saw the Spectre of our past failures back to haunt us, but a sneaking suspicion led us to try one of Q's gadgets (after all, You Only Live Twice). Finally we got our (Gold)fingers onto the cache, and we were over the Moon(raker)! Thanks a lot, spymaster M, we had a (Thunder)ball finding it!
2. I was On Her Majesty’s Surreptitious Service in a very (very) sub-tropical location. I had a thought nagging at me – I had a secreted store to find, to succeed in my assignment. After downloading some vaguely familiar paperwork, entitled "Your Four Eyes Only", I successfully cracked the encapsulated cypher some weeks prior to commencing this secret mission.
Today seemed like a good time as an anticipated Sky Fall was unlikely and my current assistant, Miss Honey Penny, was also keen to take the challenge. After we had arrived in the Aston Camry, and I was firing up Q’s super locater, Honey was adamant that she had spied the zero zone. I was equally adamant that my superior spy-sense was telling me that it was located in a more secluded area. However, once the super locater had completely activated, I have to admit, my accomplice was correct and we had to retrace our steps. Oh well, You Only Look Twice!
Then we found the current Bond girl, Ina Park. She had two long legs, was rather slim and we found her strangely attractive. But where was she hiding the vial with the necessary scroll? Some minutes passed before GoldenEyes kicked in and I employed Coldfinger to assist us in this clandestine task. In the end we did not have to employ our Boomraker - mission accomplished! That meant we lived to Spy Another Day.
We took nothing and left nothing but our secret code to ensure that others may be less successful than we were!
Finally – From Us’ With Love – a favourite point. Thanks to the "real" Bond girl – Ms Mummy Shortlegs
The only thing that has made these two logs better is that I know their writers through geocaching and absolutely adore them. TFTC No_Tomorrow!
" I was up late after 11pm catching up on some work and the notifications came through for 6 new caches in Toowoomba. More importantly they were from Youngoldfella who always creates good hides so I set to trying to solve them before going to bed. I must admit I did have some help with these puzzles.
I knew it must be some kind of code or conversion so armed with the movie hint I did a little googling and found a match after a few false tries. Once I decided how to decode the rest was easy.
In the morning the whole family including (edited), (Edited) the 2 year old and I set of for the caches which we found the three that we had solved the night before. We all spotted this one together and the 2 year old was exited about one of the small toys he found inside.
Thanks youngoldfella for a good challenge and a great family outing."
These type of comments keep me smiling and cxontinue to keep my interest in hiding good quality and size caches. i have 288 hides and more to come.

"Not so much the tail for this one but the other end. Nice and dry access today. So out of the way, but so close to busyness. Good spot to dispose of a body if required. "
