I was on my 4 days off and decided to head out to Whiteman park to clean up a few caches today. I spent a few weeks solving the C series and some of the P and W series. It was fun solving several of the puzzles in particular the jigsaws. I love solving jigsaw puzzles. As yet i have not solved all of them as i need some help with some of them. I printed off the Whiteman Park map and plotted all the coordinates into my phone on cgeo and then roughly plotted them on the map. This then gave me the opportunity to work out where to park and what caches to get from each parking spot.

I parked at a few different locations and did large loop walks collecting caches one of which was quite large due to the Keith Maine Centre being closed. I spent about 6 and a half hours walking and logging caches in the heat which was quite draining today. Luckily i had plenty of water and fruit to keep me going. The easterly breeze offered some respite from the heat but more so in the shade. All up i walked 10+km's which i did enjoy and only saw 6 kangaroos and one bobtail lizard.
All up i found 30 of the 31 solved caches in the series.
This cache was a very quick find and just as quick signing the log.
Thanks for the 3 great series Chwiliwr, Gwiber, TBH and Gwar. ClappingClapping

Had a couple of spare hours this afternoon, so headed out to find a few more of this mystery series. Had a lovely walk around this end of the park and logged this one without trouble.

Thanks for the cache!

Headed out after the event with Lazarus to pick up a few of the mystery caches we had solved. We managed to get a few crossed off the list but left others for another day. There was one where we had the incorrect coordinates, so will have to go back to the drawing board on that one, and we still have some awaiting that moment where it all clicks together. All the finds were made fairly quickly. Many thanks for the caches.

Solved this one some time ago, but waited until after today's event to find & sign log.
Walked the trails hearing frequent buzzing coming from nearby Model Aircraft Club.
Thank you Chwiliwr, TBH, Gwiber & Gwawr for this stimulating series of mental challenge variety.
This is #1 of 27 in series found today. We must return to locate others we've solved.

Took the family to Whiteman Park and did a few walks around the trails to do the puzzle caches. Managed to stay dry by sheltering when it looked like showers but got wet walking back to the car from the final cache. All caches were found OK and apart from one in good condition.

Log signed and cache returned as found.

Thank you for the puzzle and cache.

Out with the family doing the Whiteman Park puzzles and dodging the rain. Only got wet going back to the car after the last cache. Enjoyed the smell of the steam engine who passed us a few times on our various walks to the caches from where we had parked the car.

Log signed and cache returned as found.

Thank you for the puzzle and cache.

Quick find in an obvious place Whistle

What a frustrating cache! Had a look at the cache and quickly came up with a set of coords and because they seemed so obvious didn't bother to use the checker. Spent some time at the coords I'd come up with without success and resorted to the clue. This narrowed the search but away from where GZ was being indicted. After still coming up empty handed I called home to get the better half to check the listing to make sure I hadn't made a mistake in recording the coords. No problem there. In the end I had to give up. Got home and put the coords I'd found into the checker only to find that they were wrong. Damn I'd fallen for a red herring. I now have the correct coords and will have to chase up another time.

Woohoo!! Joint FTF with ROgue 5:43pm!

Solve this yesterday arvo after finding the coords in the second place I looked.

Didn't leave work until almost 6pm so had to leave it until today. After dropping off some moveables nearby I headed over here.

No sooner had I arrived, a familiar car arrived nearby. Wandered over to GZ with ROgue. Expanded the search area and she soon had the right spot found.

Signed the log and exchanged some moveables before parting company.

Nice puzzle, just need to work through the rest now. TFTC Clan MinotaurClan MinotaurClan Minotaur

Woohoo!! Joint FTF with SpatialRiq at 5:43pm!

I saw this one published, and thought I had the coordinates sorted, so headed to the park to make the find. Just after leaving my car I heard the familiar voice of SpatialRiq, and we agreed to head to hopefully make FTF together. He informed me that there was a twist, which I wasn't aware of, so I was glad he was there.

Once at GZ the checked coordinates didn't seem to point us at anything related to the hint, so we checked a few obvious spots nearby, and then I headed off to look at things related to the hint, and found the cache at -10 from the worked out S coordinates.

Thanks for the cache Gwawr!
