The container was a quick find. When I opened it, it was full of water. I left it tipped up to drain all the water from it and signed the new log which was miraculously dry. Thanks to Darzi di. The original log is a mess. I reassembled the cache, placed it back where it should not collect water, but I also collected some large pieces of bark and placed them as a combined roof and camo for the cache. TFTC Very Happy

Wow that was a hot one! Loved the puzzle and had fun working it out. Decided to head out at 4pm but it was still really warm out. Chased the shade for parking and headed in. Cache found, appreciated the shade to sign the log. TFTC Smile

I had a bit of trouble with a part of this puzzle. The CO got straight back to me though and soon had the tick from the geochecker. Then we headed out today on an urban cache run to pick up points for the SoN game - go ACT ! Thanks again Sol Smile

Container had water in it, log book saturated and out of drenched bag. Only had a tiny bag with bit of paper with our log for others until new log book.

Went out with Joolay and KittyKatch to grab cac es for the SON game and what a great day for it. We got to gz found container which had water in it and log book saturated and out of bag which too was wet. We wiped the bag out with a tissue and wrote our names on a piece of paper from my notebook put in a fresh dry little bag inside wiped out bag. The log book will need to be replaced. tftc SOL DE LUNE

Found out with Kittykatch and Darzee Di chasing the SoN game. Glad to find this one. Lovely day to be out and about too. There was water in the container and the log book was wet. Darzee has a small plastic bag so we signed a piece of paper and included it before putting back.

Found with Goldenwattle. I left the log outside of the bag as the bag was saturated. TFTC Sol de lune.

Found with Decrypter. Log was swimming in water. Decrypter commented he wished he'd brought his pen that can write under water. We only just managed our initials because of the water. Signed GW & DC. We can use this in the States of the Nation for 'Find and log a geocache that has not been found in 120 days or more'. TFTC Sol de lune.

I enjoyed this a lot. After a days skiing, I sat about at night solving a few puzzles. It's so nice to find so many puzzles in the ACT that you don't need a mensa IQ to solve. These are truly field puzzles and are a pleasure to solve, even on the go. Being well versed in a few of these I was pleased to be able to read quite a few without the need for help. The coords revealed themselves but a few glitches towards the end needed some constructive manipulation. The coord checker finally agreed. On my home from the snow, I always take a detour into Canberra and allow myself a few caches and a visit to one attraction. Wow this sure is a busy road and once I dared to slow down to pull over without the glare of motorists, rushing to where ever they were going, and me daring to slow them down, I found a spot to park and found myself on the wrong side of 2 fences.
I found a spot to get through one fence without ripping the back out of my jacket, then came upon another one which luckily had fallen down and was easy to walk over. It was here I saw I'd lost my phone. With the gps still in my hand , I abandoned the search and quickly retraced my steps to t he fence I'd crawled through, sure it was here, the phone had slid out of my pocket. Yep there it was in the wet grass. Relieved, I went back to GZ and scared a huge fox , which ran off as I approached. The cache was easy to find, can't say I'd ever seen such an unusual container. ShockedLaughing
Good one. I retraced my steps, bounded over the fence lines and soon was back at the car trying to merge back into traffic.

A rather interesting puzzle with a few hiccups with one section. Eventually I got the checker to agree with me.
A nice warm wander this evening and a quick find. Again a little hard to miss these.
Thanks Sdl

With some spare time this afternoon Jac and I decided to grab a few of the new caches which have appeared lately. We made our way to GZ (unintentionally) collecting some grass seeds and made a quick find. These grass seeds will be the death of me yet.

Thanks for another cache Sol de lune.

Quick afternoon find with Black Bunny. Still too hot for me.
Too many grass seeds around. I'm glad we didn't take the dogs today, or I'd be plucking for days.
Thanks, Sol!

#GA1191 - 09:25; After seeing those pesky Phoenix stretching the lead in the SSS, while I was away in Melbourne, a mission was hastily organised on my return with Agent Basil and toy hunters to collect some of the newly minted local caches which might help to close that gap. Happy that we had solved a number of puzzles to ensure the mission's success, I headed out and collected the other members of the trusty trio. This was our first stop and I must say the puzzle was all Greek to me, although I now know it's not! There's other interesting stuff in there too. I guess that's why it's a D5! Anyway, we wandered towards GZ, chose the wrong side of the fence, fixed our error and soon found the cache. A clean log sheet was waiting right there for us and a happy joint *FTF*. Woohoo - FTF with LuckyL10n and Agent Basil!!! Clan CerberusClan CerberusClan Cerberus This puzzle took a lengthy effort to solve, however in the end, there were no real problems with the coordinates. Once we parked nearby, we took a short walk on the lovely path towards GZ, where we were continuously confused on which side of the fence to go! Soon enough, we had that figured out and the nicely sized cache was spotted! Great area! TFTC SdL - get ready for many more logs today! Clan CerberusClan CerberusClan Cerberus

Off on a Scavenger mission with LuckyL10n and Toy Hunters under the guidance of our very own Yoda (who was somewhere else).
Coords were solvable and we did pick right then wrong sides of appropriate fences. All good. Joint FTF as well
