today we choose to target all the caches in the Trevallyn dam area, we attempted 14 caches with 13 finds and 1 DNF. it was a very hot waling along the trail so we were always on the look out for our slithering friends.
this cache was a quick find with accurate co-ordinance i originally walked past it then thought its gotta be here somewhere as i turned around it was staring me in the face. TFTC Clan Cerberus

Took the opportunity today to return to the Launny area as the boy and I had to drop the girls off at the airport to spend a night in Melbourne. So it was just the boys out and about searching for caches today. After we fueled ourselves with a hearty Macca's brunch. We got stuck into searching for few for a couple of hours. Then we decided to head home and relax.

The mountain bike area wasn't overly busy today. This was as easy find as it was just sitting on the ground. Silly thing was at first I didn't even give a thought as I stepped over the container. Doh . Anyway, when I focused on the job at hand. I dawned on me that this was the the cache. Dancing . Unsure where it came from originally I replaced in a place where I think i may of come from. Being a nice day and a Sunday as well the mountain bikers were everywhere today. They didn't seem to take any notice of us though which is just as well as they probably needed all their concentration just to do what they do!!!!
As for the cache, it was an easy find as it was laying on the ground. We signed it and returned it to what we thought was the right spot but the CO might want to check this one.
Thanks.

We found this one on a previous visit to the area but couldn't reach it. Back in the area today with the right accessory, a family member who was willing and able to retrieve the cache. They are beginner cachers and we're introducing them to GCA, I think this one impressed them! TFTC

Have sent a PM to the previous finder to let them know that their log is not a valid find and to please delete their log.

For future finders this is a terrain 4.5 indicating it requires more effort to find please do not log a find if you do not sign the log.

Found but did not sign, did not possess required athletic ability! Very inventive and great cache!

We brought the right implement, but the youngest most agile DaFiChNi scoffed at it and ascended unaided into the heavens and soon had the cache in hand. Thanks Tassie Trekkers for another great fun cache.

Spied the cache then the how to bit. Fancy getting us old dogs in this sort of predicament, but hey it is May madness on DZ so nothing was going to stop me. like Old Saint said...like a rat up a draun pipe. While signing the log along came 2 workers with their motorised wheel barrows, totally oblivious as to my prescence...lol.
Wowee...a real favourite wirh me....well done. TFTEC....cheers ST.

Found but I lacked the athletic ability and certainly did not have that tool in my car like previous cachers did. "I will be back"

After meeting the CO's at Gravelly Beach where we were able to clarify that we did indeed have the necessary equipment to retrieve this cache with us. On arriving at the parking spot we got the occasional odd look from the mountain bikers who were preparing to head off. Once they left we made our way to GZ where eagle eyes spotted the container. Equipment into action and we soon had the log in hand and the sign completed. All was well with the container and contents.
Thanks Tassie Trekkers for another cache we can use for the SSS.

FTF @ 9.15 am. As we had made a quick dash to the shack on Sunday, we thought we would check out whether we could SIGN the log. Mrs W wanted a SIGN cache for the Summer Scavenger Series games. When she saw where the cache was she said 'omg' Mr W will have to attempt. Without the right tool Mr. W had to use his athletic ability to reach the cache which had a blank sheet so he scored the FTF. TFTC
