Description
Farewell to the Summer Scavenger Series
This geocache was hidden to celebrate the end of the Summer Scavenger Series for 2016 / 2017. Take a walkalong the Western Freeway Trail to find this and other geocaches in the [SSS] series. There is nothing special about this location, just a simple geocache hidden in a simple manner that should be simple to find.
The geocache you seek is a 400ml litre sistema container and was hidden for the Summer Scavenger Series 2016.

Logs
This was my last for the short trip here.
Three from three that made me quite happy.
This was a fairly quick find too.
Nice mosaics on the ground.
Pity about the garbage.

I was running out of time so had to turn around here. Looks like this one has been found by some muggles.

The cooler weather this weekend made today perfect for a bike ride. With a stiff southerly blowing, I decided that I'd tackle the lower reaches of the Kororoit Creek with the wind at my tail, rather than the tougher option... then enjoy a non-stop jaunt alongside the Ring Road and Western Freeway to where I left off last week.
It was certainly quite different this time around: express rather than stopping all stations (caches), then, once I'd made it to the vicinity of the prison, a cool, and occasionally damp evening compared to the balmy weather of late.
By the time I reached the middle of Caroline Springs, there were nearly a dozen and a half more smileys, with only a few I couldn't locate, and finds on some caches that had been dormant for a year and a half. Oh, and both my phone and GPSr were running on fumes when I finally got on a train. All in all, a good evening expedition.
Many thanks, C@W.

#GA1854 - 09:2; Day two of a caching mission to Victoria with Sol de lune. Our major goal for the week is to complete the SSS and other series along the Western Freeway/Ring Road and to then collect enough GCA caches around Docklands to bring our total finds for the day to 100+ which would build our trophy cabinets a bit more as we complete a few more 'missions'. This was one of 82 finds in just under 6 hours along the various series, where we only had the one DNF! Apologies for the mostly generic logs. TFTC caughtatwork

Off and running along the path and it was simply a matter of riding, stopping, finding the cache, signing the log, replacing the cache and then moving on to the next one. No problems here and we were soon on our way again.
Thanks for another one C@W....

We had arrived in Melbourne early to catch the Spirit of Tasmania back to Tassie tonight. That gave us the opportunity to look for more caches along the Western Ring Path, ones that we didn't find in April because we ran out of time. We were pleased that the rain of yesterday had gone and, apart from a cold breeze, the walking conditions were very pleasant. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. There being no other entries in the logbook, we will claim FTF at 12:20. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks caughtatwork for the cache and the series.
