Description

Back in the day there used to be willow trees and the blossom would fall off the tree, drifting slowly to the ground. They looked like fairy's, therefore giving it the name, The Fairy Forest. Now all of the willow trees have been cut down to make way for natives, but it is still a nice place to go for a walk. A Small stream runs through the middle, and the track will take you up to Knocklofty Reserve. This is our first cache and contains some nice quality treasures to be swapped. It's pretty easy compared to others but you still have to look a bit.

Quick and easy find today, certainly the most colourful container I have seen in a long while. Contents dry, not sure how long they will stay this way if it seriously rains. No swaps, but thanks for the evening stroll.

Lovely area that I hadn't been to before. Obvious some work is on going in the area but certainly a nice spot that I would t have seen other than the cache

TFTC.

Llama123 thanks for the cache.

After talking to a lovely old lady doing a bit of gardening I made a quick find and re hide.

The HCC plan on doing some work in this park next year so be prepared to lose the cache.

Found while out collecting a few caches for the Summer Scavenger Series. We hadn't been to this little spot before and enjoyed the short walk to GZ where we found a well hidden cache. A nice spot for your first cache hide. Cache and contents were in good condition.

Thanks for the cache Llama123 and for bringing us to this area. Now to wind our way out - we had forgotten how narrow and confused some of the streets in these older areas of Hobart are.

found while I was out with goose and egg

A quick find once I worked out how to access. Will be a good track once the council gets the work underway. I didn't realise you could access Knocklofty Reserve from here. TFTC

3rd to find! I saw this published while I was at work, so I decided to make a detour from my usual walk home to seek this cache. A friend used to live nearby, and it was nice to have an excuse to walk up here.

Thank you for the cache!

Congratulations on your first hide.
It is a long time since we have been in the area and it’s great to see some work being done here.
The cache was a nice easy find although keeping a lookout for muggles was quite difficult with so many houses above GZ. We hope your cache stays safe.
We personally don’t ‘do swaps’ but you have certainly placed some nice items in the container for those who do.
Also loved your creative log book and it was nice to be the first ones to sign it.
Thank you very much for this cache Llama123

Second to find.
In all my years, I never realised this was here!
I can see how it would have been very pretty with the willows.
Straightforward find - thanks.
