In line with amendments made to requirements for listing and finding a Locationess geocache, this geocache has been reviewed and found not be in line with the listing requirements.

https://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/Locationless_cache
Armchair style Locationless caches where the finder is not required to explore the real world, identify a location and accompany the "Find" with photographic evidence are no longer accepted.
A Locationless cache listing must require the finder to locate an object or perform a task in the real world, collect the co-ordinates and log the find with accompanying photographic evidence.

The geocaching community would like to thank you for listing this Locationess geocache and congratulations to all that found this locationless geocache.

As the geocache no longer meets the requirements we will archive the cache listing.

The most remote Pathtag we found was at the cache Lake Nallan nature Reserve.
The challenge in getting to the gz after we had camped the night nearby, was walking olong the railway track, then to get to GZ the water level in the lake was waiste high,mmm...yes, we are out here and we are not going to leave the cache unsigned - so in I went!
The things one does for caching - but I came up trumps with the cache in had and a bonus was the Pathtag by Sharkcaver Smile

The first pathtag we found was in WA during our round Australia trip in 2009, we had heard about them but had not seen one. It was one by Urch and still takes pride of place in a display panel which was a prize we won from Zalgarieth.

GCA 2,394. My first pathtag find was in a cache over in WA in 2008 - the funny thing is it was a fellow ACT Cacher's pathtag that I found ! One of allrounders cricket ball tags. It now has pride of place in the first line of my pathtag collection folder.

Love pathtags. TFTC !!

I received one of my first pathtags at the Melbourne Event in 2015 from another team who were also working out a lab cache on site (so I guess it's "in the wild").
They gave me one of their signature pathtags and I've had it ever since!

Thanks for placing this locationless! Very Happy

The first pathtag I ever found was in a cache in Braidwood. It was Easter 2016 and I had only started caching seriously in February 2016.

It is a BettyBoo tag called 'The Vamp - Cream'......it is definitely one of the most memorable in my collection.

I remember my first pathtag and it was also one that I found in the wild before I had attended any events or met geocachers!

My one I found was in December 2014, only a couple months after I started geocaching!
I found it in a cache whilst I was on holiday only a couple hours from home in NSW.

The tag was by "Mosaikmum" and is called "The Stripey Street Cat"
They are apparently from Sydney, and are still active after 8 years but only have a couple hundred finds and never met them before Sad

Thanks for this interesting locationless cache! Brings back memories

The first time I found a pathtag in the wild in a Geocaching Australia Cache, was in a Moveable at Mullengandra, on our way to the OZGeomuster, and it had three different pathtags in it from Whitewebbs. I have carried the Moveable back to Victoria to release with different pathtags in it, at my Anzac Day event on Wednesday.
Now I just have to figure out how to register them!
Thanks for the Locationless Barbbowman..

The first pathtag I picked up was on a trip to S.A to catch up with my cousin. We did a cache called Open Your Mouth GCGF45. I found a disc with Team Ruphace on it and thought it was a type of travel bug. I had to check with another cacher what to do with it. TFTC

I have found heaps in the wild and they are the only pathtags that I will collect. Have been offered them at events but I always decline as I enjoy the thrill of finding them myself - it's always a lovely surprise. My latest one was found yesterday, in a large traditional cache on a backroad from Canberra. I used to have my own as well but they were really popular and ran out quickly (special glitter limited edition one of the Gigglygecko Clan) - time to design another one and put more out!

Our most cherished pathtag is a 2y'stassies one, which came with a FTF pathtag, both of which we were generously given for being the FTF the last and final cache (GC3V9W6) of the amazingly awesome Octagon series in Tasmania. From memory we did quite a bit of it in torrential rain and then had to drive back the next day to complete it. A favourite and memorable cache, and a cherished pathtag.

Love Pathtags and it is always a thrill to find one in the wild. My first pathtag I ever found in the wild was a Dazzatron tag on the 9/4/11. The rest is history.....

My first pathtag was found on July 6, 2010, about 2 months after I began caching. It was in a 'firesafe' hide 'APM - 2010-2013 Julia Gillard'.
I consider myself lucky to find any in the wild and love collecting them

I have only found a few path tags in the wild and two are from BBDAM. It was quite exciting to find them.

Found a pathtag in the wild whilst at the Red Centre Experience. It was a Jacs team pathtag. We weren't expecting to find any around the event as there were so many people out caching.

Heading to the Mega in Alice and managed to find a Smittengranny pathtag in one of the many caches we found. Good thing was it was a tag I didn't have......and she is one our local cachers back in Canberra....so a win all round.

Thanks Barbbowman.....neat locationless.

My first pathtag find in a cache was early last year, After deciding to test out my new hiking boots I walked around a local bush reserve that had roughly 15 caches in it. The first cache that I did just happened to be a tn hotel. And after spending much time going through discovering the travel bugs I saw the pathtag all the way at the bottom. Was rather happy with the find and still have that pathtag to this day

Living a sheltered existence in Tasmania I don't stumble upon too many pathtags. My first ever find in the wild, in October 2014, was of a whitewebbs pathtag in 'Sense of direction' in Launceston. Was rather pleased and still have it to this day.. thanks..!!

We've been researching since this cache was published (well not continuously but at times) trying to find which was our first pathtag and where we got it. Considering how much MrsG loves these addictive little pieces of art, you'd think the memory would have stuck! The first pathtag we owned was found on 31/12/11 in Yarrowyck Crossing (GC39XD0) on which we were FTF. And though our memories were lacking about what cache it was in, we have no trouble remembering we were very excited about finding a pathtag in the wild (which at this early stage was the only way we thought you got them) and knew exactly what it was. The tag was APC - Great Barrier Reef by Aussie Pathtag Club. Since then we've found quite a few in caches but have swapped at events for most of our collection, even yours barbbowman. Wink

I couldn't believe it when not only did I log a FTF on this traditional cache (GA8882), but found my first pathtag in the wild inside it as my reward!!! I may have happy-danced it back to the car. A lot. Quite wildly. My poor patient immediately after this may still be a little freaked out by the enthusiasm with which I conducted our interview. Oh well, so excited!!! TFTC Barbbowman

I have a collecton of pathtags and enjoy trading online. The best is finding one in the "wild" which is a very rare occurrence. We travelled to the Stanthorpe Mega in 2015 from Tasmania, did thousands of klms from Tasmania to Queensland and return and hundreds of caches and did not find one in the wild. It was a good thing we had pathtag events at the Mega as there was some serious swapping going on. I swapped over 200 tags. Looking forward to Alice Springs, have had a tag designed especially for the Red Centre Experience. I left quite a few tags on the mainland trip and enjoy leaving them in caches and seeing where they end up.
Caughtatwork was in Hobart recently and published a few caches. I found a tag in GA9149 Soldiers Memorial Avenue I which I took for my collection but left one of mine in return. Pathtagging is addictive. I have 23 personal tags at the moment. TFTL

It is by the cachere Moosetash.

My first tag was found in the wild and was a sno seeker tag ... found the tag, took the number and dropped it off somewhere thinking it was a trackable. Then found out what a path tag is when I when I logged it.

Most recent one found in the wild was a Megawat60 & M4YB tag. Picked up when I wasn't far behind them on the way to the WAGB 16 event.

Thanks for the locationless barbbowman

My first pathtag was given to me in Wagga Wagga at the first Mega Evewnt held in AUstralia. From then on I was hooked on pathtags. My first pathtag actually found in a cache was in Wagga on the same weekend. I had my own design made within a few months and I now habve 18 of my own and in my collection I would have close to 2000 with many many duplicates. I would estimate that 200 or so would be from the "Wild" as I tend to keep them. I also have "Newbe" geopcachers contacting me as they think pathtags are geocoins.
