Doing almost daily caching outings during this covid high time in April. Very good to get out for some exercise into nature. Today an assault on some caches on the lower parts of Black Mountain. Found all but one of them, good to clean these out after I have had them sitting there solved and starring at me for a while now. Thanks for the little series SDL.

Got to know some new path that I had no idea of a nice area here.

Out with Joolay again today - the last day of her holidays and we were determined to make the most of the day. Goal? 20 more GCA caches to add more points to the current game. We succeeded in our goal and this was #4. Love a puzzle I can actually solve. TFTC SDL SL Dancing

Had worked out these puzzles ages ago but today was the day to pick them up. So Smittengranny and I armed with corrected coords heard up the mountain. Cache found in good condition.

TFTC and puzzle Sol de Lune. I can't believe how dry the area is for this time of the year - it's a worry. Thankfully did not encounter any of the mentioned 'perils'.

I had returned to the car after doing some GC & GCA caches, and noticed there were some easy puzzles available, so spent the time while the snow-showers passed to work them out. I had just walked around the area, so went up there again to grab these!

Some water in the cases, but log books OK in their bags.

No peril today!

Thanks,

953. We're deciding where to break for a coffee about now and tis one was a close contender but we eventually decided to head further up as the views may have been better. Not thinking about the puzzle subject matter while walking around here.

A day out with McPhan walking most of the Black Mountain Reserve, from north to south and west to east and back to the car - great training! Thanks Sol de Lune for the hide, and thanks to McPhan for doing all the puzzle solving. By the way, I misplaced my black gps case somewhere during the day and in spite of coming back looking for it I've not located it. If anyone finds it, I'd be pleased to get it back thanks.

I went for a short but fun walk around the western slopes of Black mountain to collect six GA caches. They all went smoothly and I made it back to the car in one piece.

Thanks

GCA 1271 - 14296. Found during a mini-GCA run around Canberra.

With the last game vastly adding to the number of GCA Caches in Canberra I thought I'd better start to make a dent in them. Next find for the day. A nice simple puzzle and a lovely walk in on a Mountain I enjoy visiting. Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, returned the cache, and headed off to the next one.

A nice warm wander around the foothills of Black Mountain and the cache concentration made it too hard to resist, despite the heat.
Another neat puzzle and an easy find of another, now, very familiar type container.
No above mentioned perils were spotted thankfully. They would of probably burnt there bellies if they were out.

#GA1237 - 19:50; Having received a heads up about a possible total fire ban for tomorrow and the potential for closure of this reserve, I decided to make a late afternoon assault on the mountain, having recently solved several puzzles for caches lurking there. I had completed the first half of my circuit and was now headed to this cache, back down the hill from the pinnacle of the evening's run. I must say that the radio emissions from the tower seem to confuse the GPSr at times, but I managed to make it safely to GZ, despite a rather large insect, or perhaps a small drone, which seemed to take an interest on my approach. Once at GZ, The cache was quickly spotted and the log signed. TFTC Sol de lune Very HappyClan Cerberus

Another cache around here. The loop to collect them all wasn't too long. but many gullies and the heat. good fun though. TFTC SDL! Clan Cerberus

Found on a very early morning GCA run before going to the movies on a hot summer day. You could say that I'm a lot like Indiana Jones - I hate snakes! When solving this puzzle, it made me even more scared of what I could find in the bush. After a short walk from the last cache, this was another very quick find - they don't get much easier than large containers! TNLNSL. TFTC SdL! Clan Cerberus

After obtaining a set of co-ords it was off for the hunt. A quick find at GZ while dodging the webs along the way.

Thanks for the cache Sol de lune

Cache number 3 collected on this walk and there were so many little orb spiders everywhere - so pretty and I couldn't avoid walking into them. I was sure I was going to run into a snake or two as well but good to be out late afternoon when they might be tucked away already. Cache found in good condition. TfTC Sol

Found the in for this puzzle and worked out GZ without any dramas. Went for a warm wander on the "lower west side" of Black Mountain this afternoon. Friday after work is my all time favourite time to go caching and so it was a bag of four puzzles today, very noice.
Found the cache and the forecast spikey plants but thankfully none of the puzzle subjects or any of their cousins.
Thanks Sol De Lune, very enjoyable this arvo.
Cheers

No slitherers today but a truck load of webs that I walked through. blurk This was where my original Black Mt Meander meandered through - still no naked Hari Krishnas that I could see
