Description

The cache is not at the posted co-ords, however parking close to them will help you access the area of GZ.

To find the cache, you will have to sit through finding the answers to the following questions about Home and Away, which is probably the most unrealistic show on Australian TV.   It is not representative of any town, anywhere in Australia that I know of.    And please, don't start me on the crap story lines or characters.

Anyway, if have 5 minutes of your life that you can't think of spending on something more productive, here you go.    You'll then find the cache at S35 16 AB3 E149 05.CD4

Summer Bay is the fictional location for which Australian TV show.     If Home and Away A = 5, if Neighbours...you haven't read this description properly have you.

Between 2010 and 2014, which real life caravan park was used for scenes at the Summer Bay caravan park.   If Lane Cove caravan park B = 7, if Alice Springs caravan park B = 0

Currently, we have which Australian TV network to blame for this abomination of a TV show.    C = 9 if ABC/SBS, C = 4 if Channel 7/Prime network

(Deep breath)...........As I can't be bothered reading any more on the wiki page about this tripe, take my word for it that D = 0

Now that is over......the astute reader will be able to pick up on something when reading this listing...well I least I hope you have and you now have a set of co-ords to go and find another of my large caches.    Of course, the co-ords checker will determine if you noticed what I hoped you would.

Have fun, enjoy your time in the area finding the cache...and please, never let anyone in your household watch the show.

Doing almost daily caching outings during this covid high time in April. Very good to get out for some exercise into nature. Today an assault on some caches on the lower parts of Black Mountain. Found all but one of them, good to clean these out after I have had them sitting there solved and starring at me for a while now. Thanks for the little series SDL.

This is the one cache I could not find today and I looked all around the fallen trees, I think it might be gone.

Out with Joolay again today - the last day of her holidays and we were determined to make the most of the day. Goal? 20 more GCA caches to add more points to the current game. We succeeded in our goal and this was #5. Boy when i first started the cache description I nearly gave up - not watching that crap for anyone or anything! Thank goodness I kept reading TFTC SDL nearly lost me on this one. Very HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery Happy SL

Had worked out these puzzles ages ago but today was the day to pick them up. So Smittengranny and I armed with corrected coords heard up the mountain. Lovely being up on the mountain when it was not so hot. Cache found in good condition.

Yep. Have never seen an episode and don't ever plan to. TFTC and the Home and Away tripe Sol de Lune. Another large case.. I was hoping to find a cool six pack of crankshaft or sprocket in there as well.

I had returned to the car after doing some GC & GCA caches, and noticed there were some easy puzzles available, so spent the time while the snow-showers passed to work them out. I had just walked around the area, so went up there again to grab these!

Some water in the cases, but log books OK in their bags.

Fortunately, I've never had to suffer this show...

Thanks for the cluster of caches.

952. Neither winglen nor I have watched this show and it appears that none of the finders have so far either. Now it's a popular show (judging by how bleeding long it's been on the TV) so either GCA cachers have different/better taste than the population that watches it - or you've offended those that do watch it and they refuse to do this cache ShockedConfused

TFTC Sol and the sea change.

A day out with McPhan walking most of the Black Mountain Reserve, from north to south and west to east and back to the car - great training! Thanks Sol de Lune for the hide, and thanks to McPhan for doing all the puzzle solving. By the way, I misplaced my black gps case somewhere during the day and in spite of coming back looking for it I've not located it. If anyone finds it, I'd be pleased to get it back thanks.

An easy find. These caches are large and have no swaps. I would have added to them but I left my backpack in the car because it is full of movables. TFTC Very Happy

I went for a short but fun walk around the western slopes of Black mountain to collect six GA caches. They all went smoothly and I made it back to the car in one piece.

Thanks

GCA 1272 - 14297. Found during a mini-GCA run around Canberra.

With the last game vastly adding to the number of GCA Caches in Canberra I thought I'd better start to make a dent in them. Next find for the day. A nice simple puzzle and a lovely walk in on a Mountain I enjoy visiting. Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, returned the cache, and headed off to the next one.

TFTC !!

A nice warm wander around the foothills of Black Mountain and the cache concentration made it too hard to resist, despite the heat.
When I originally glanced at the puzzle, I thought I was going to have to research the subject matter as I had no idea about any of that stuff. Turned out I just winged it and got through with a happy coordinate checker. So glad about that!!!!
Another, now, very familiar type container.

#GA1238 - 19:55; Having received a heads up about a possible total fire ban for tomorrow and the potential for closure of this reserve, I decided to make a late afternoon assault on the mountain, having recently solved several puzzles for caches lurking there. Last stop for the evening and another gully crossing to get to GZ. I was happy to make the easiest find of the evening on arrival to wrap up my tour before heading back to the geomobile and further afield. TFTC Sol de lune Very HappyClan Cerberus

Toot toot! Another one in Black Mountain Reserve! No snakes, lots of heat and a bloody creek to cross. TFTC SDL!

Found on a very early morning GCA run before going to the movies on a hot summer day. I solved this puzzle with much dread and resentment - Australian drama is absolute trash in my opinion, there's much better material to watch on this planet! Another very quick find at GZ. TNLNSL. After obtaining a set of co-ords it was off for the hunt. Another quick find at GZ while dodging the webs along the way.

Thanks for another cache Sol de lune

Had a good laugh doing the puzzle on this cache. I too hate all those Home and Away shows and can't understand how some people I know have been watching for years. Fun cache and nice hide - all in good condition. Lovely to explore this part of Black Mountain too, which I have never really done before. Great way to spend a Friday arvo - thanks for the puzzles and the hides Smile

My time was more around the early episodes of De Grassi High set in Canada. I thought was cool to be a fan of this quirky alternative. It probably wasn't any better than the local stuff. This alternate thing then morphed into listening to Triple J and then Parliamentary News Network (and I've stayed there).
Was grateful that the coordinates for this cache could be determined without looking anything up. Thanks for another large Sol De Lune, some Cerberus points coming up.
Cheers

a shonky excuse for a cache if there ever was one Mr. Green I'm proud to say I have never seen an episode of "it" nor it's neighbourly cousin. Used to watch Dallas though !
