Description
The cache is NOT at the listed co-ordinates, nor is it in the National Park.
I was originally trying to create a Reverse cache for this hide but the technical part was too difficult, so I decided to make it a mystery intead. The "heavy" in the title refers to the hiding spot (it's a fairly big boulder) and the "light" is because the Summer Scavenger Series needs a cache with that in the name!
The final co-ordinates can be found by working on the decimals of the listed co-ordinates. Once you have solved the simple puzzle, check your solution via the co-ordinate checker (to the right). The route to GZ is a pleasant walk along a wide trail. Note that the cache is not located in the National Park.
Satellite reception here is not very good. When you reach the track junction, the cache is about 20m away on the side of the hill

Arriving at the parking spot, I was soon greeted by one of blossom*s guardian brush turkeys, so I knew I was on the right track. I'd driven through a massive downpour just a couple of kilometres away but this area was bone dry. Once at GZ I signed, surrounded by the delicate sound of thunder, then made it back in just enough time to stay dry.
I find it sad how rarely GCA caches are found, even by some folk who find other GCA "originals" eg TrigPoints. I really shouldn't have been STF 8 months after the cache was placed and 7 since the FTF, given the container is reasonably accessible (if not quite a drive-by).
Anywho, I solved the easy puzzle and stored it away, with today a good opportunity to search for it as I wanted a longer run. I jogged via a new GC cache before heading into the bush at the bottom of the dip of Comenarra Parkway. This is a lovely trail through the bush, starting by following the creek but then heading high up the hill. On the way back down to the creek I was bemused to see a "Great North Walk" logbook, thinking at first it was another cache, so I duly signed it as "from: Wahroonga, start: Wahroonga, end: Wahroonga". After that I was soon at GZ, and made a quick find. The container is in good shape! TNLNSL. I then debated whether I should continue further along the path, with a nasty climb back up to Wahroonga, but decided to take the (not much better) fire trail. TFTC
Well I had worked it out & started towards it. Down & down I went. In hindsight I really should have done this one first before I got tired and hungry. Still down & down & not getting any closer. After a fair bit of this I checked the map again - there is a creek crossing! At that point I realised that there was unlikely to be a creek as high up as I was, therefore there'd be more heading down - therefore loads of "I have to climb back up". I was just too tired this time, so I did the sensible thing & turned back around. I'll come back another day - but I might see if I can find a better approach too!
Since I recently discovered a swag of GCA caches much closer to home than my nearest unfound GC cache, I've enjoyed those local excursions - especially those of the puzzle variety. This puzzle wasn't too taxing.
After a successful find of the excellent 'Autumn Light on a Mountain in Australia for a Summer Bay Scavenger' cache, I took a short drive to a familiar parking spot. I really enjoyed the walk along a path I had never ventured before. After the GPS led me astray near GZ, I soon found where I needed to be looking and had CIH shortly afterwards.
