Description
The Telephone series of the Blue Mountains has made its way north east to the Central Coast.
This GA cache celebrates the public telephone. The first in the series was placed in a NSW town called Running Stream. The series extended itself to include all known telephone booths from Lithgow to Lapstone along the Great Western Highway, then a few in Emu Plains. We find ourselves in Avoca due to family and the fact that this cacher lived in Copacabana for about 5 years in the 1990s. Make the most of these devices, as they may be gone forever in the not-too-distant future...

Logs
A quick find while out hiding and hunting GCA caches. Had to wait a few minutes to avoid muggles on a busy public holiday.

Geodad's cache, so we signed it after he checked it. It was rusted shut. We had to get some tools from the surf club to open it.

Found this cache late evening with my girlfriend early evening after being in the Bateau Bay and Terrigal area. Road/ beach works in the area but the cache location is ok. Signed the log. Hasn't been found for 6 months.

Went on a trip with teamMerlin, Splitty Miller JJCC, alnic39 up in the area from North Avoca to Box Head this was a stop for a D/T filler so while we were checking out what we needed to do we picked this one up with CO making sure we didn't make a call to Rod Stewart instead of Barry Mandible Manilow. We signed the log & replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for the cache alnic39

On a caching run today with phlphotos, Splitty Miller JJCC and the CO around the Gosford area. With a planned stop at a nearby D/T filler and tree climb GC cache, we took the opportunity of finding the COs cache which was nice and securely hidden from view. After we all signed the log we replaced as found. Thanks for placing the cache alnic39.

Yeah I wonder how much longer these antiquated devices will last? The only other cache I can remember on one of these particular devices was called "The Dinosaur" or something like that lol. A bit muggly here - I employed the TYSL tactic ..with success. It seems I am the first to sign the book. My guess is that the previous finder mustn't have realised they needed to sign a log. Oops.
